o.O take a look in the Tech forums here, on Bethsoft, and Steamworks. PC version definitely does not run smoothly for many people, SD didnt even bother to support a whole series of GPUs.

When SD and ATI get their **** together maybe Ill be able to enjoy the game, but so far aside from the gamebreaking technical issues I have to agree with most of the OP. This is not a $60 game.

I’m playing on the 360 and all I’m saying is that if there wasn’t any lag it’d be the best game I’d play in a while. WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH isn’t a mass opinion, just the opinion of a vocal minority. Overly vocal if you ask me.

I have to agree, I’m still waiting on my copy coming by mail from amazon here in Japan. However, I think having released the game an entire week early without these critical issues being fixed in inexcusable. How could they have overlooked the XBL online play stability? This game is essentially MP, ONLY, and they couldn’t make sure the MP play was stable before releasing it to the public? That’s like letting a group of toddlers play in a sandbox full of hidden broken glass shards.

Did you set to OFF your Ambient Occlusion? It may help. Also, if you own an Nvidia card, you could right click on your desktop and set everything to get higher performance.

I jumped from 55 fps to 116 by removing the Ambient Occlusion and by modifying my Nvidia settings I ended up with 155 fps.

The only thing that I personally need to have fixed ASAP is the lag on the 360. I never am one to nitpick on graphical issues – as long as it runs good I don’t notice the insignificant stuff.

But when 50% of the games I join are slideshows it’s very disappointing. I WANT to play with humans, but can’t.

I like the game, it has it’s problems but so do a lot of games on release, hoping SD will fix the lag i’m looking forward to playing online with friends.

I am an adult and I appreciate the smiles Im getting from that picture.

I’ve been playing since a midnight release on this game (for xbox) and I really do feel robbed.
The idea is great but the execution is well… lacking. Every time I turn it on I get the feeling that there’s nothing more to accomplish but I keep on playing, hoping something keeps me interested. I lack one unlock and based on the disappoint the other unlocks brought me I could care less about it honestly. I feel like the last string of hope (the multiplayer) would at least let me get a bit more out of the game but the lag is too unbearable. Not to mention it has locked up the console numerous times during mp matches. It’s been a while since I’ve felt so deceived into getting a game.

So I understand, and anyone else playing (or trying to) on xbox knows it’s true.

I forgot to mention that silencers don’t actually change the sound of your weapon. I guess they did too? Man, I was stoked about this game for too long…

I play on Xbox. The matches i’ve gotten in that were lag free were brilliant fun even with the game in its current state. I love my engineer.

Oh yeah, next up on this craptrain is the lack of party support. So, if you’re in a party on XBL and you want to play in a match with friends, you can’t all join a game without one of your party joining it first. In Broken Brink, you have to enter a public game by yourself and then invite your party from the pause menu… And then hope they all get in. This is inexcusable. This is something that would be in a XBL launch title, not a AAA game coming out today. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. I bet the same guy that oversaw the grenade explosions thought it was a good idea to bypass this feature. Total amateur hour.

I will give this game till the end of the month because i want to like it, but if by then SD can’t get their @$$ out of the wall then im going to have to sell it back, which sux because ill probably be out 30-40 bucks.

Hell, ill ok if they fix the lag later, atleast me and my friends can all be together having a lagtastic time.

They are fart grenades the grx look dreadful a tiny little pufffff honestly who approved the grx and audio for nades? It was not worth doing they should of just put the word bang on screen and the audio from a fart, laughable.
