Is vassili OP or balanced

highly magnified scope that you cant use another mouse sensitivity to control different than other weapons that use ironsights is a bit annoying.

setbind rightmousebutton “altfire | setsensitivity 15 | onrelease setsensitivity 6”

Changes your sens when you hold scope and then again when you release, values can be changed on the fly in console. You’d need to tweak it a bit to work with toggle scope

All characters move fast, if not very fast for the lighter ones, which makes headshots and even bodyshots sometimes quiet tricky, and you have to stand still when you’re shooting otherwise your scope will move (a little bit, yes, but sometimes it’ll fuck you up).

Same thing for jump shooting, every other character can do it when they ironsight, so why wouldn’t vassili ?

I think he’s well balanced and useful in good hands, but if you’re not really good at hitting most of your shots you won’t do sh** for your team …

Plus the heartbeat sensor is very nice balanced too, very useful but you can’t destroy it very easily with its sound

Balanced…I mean, he can’t even one shot Aura unless you shoot in the head, which applies to all the other mercs except Rhino. And also the mercs move fast in this game and the heads are small if you compare to other games. Dunno what you people are complaining about.

Hes balanced in a way that he requires some levels of skill to play well. He’s OP because right now hes the only character with 1 shot 1 kill instagib potential. So there you go.
Is there an option for underbalanced? Scope-sway still needs to be replaced with a nerf that doesn’t lower the skill-cap of Vassili.

How about, reduce body dmg of the moa to 50? That’s a decent start.
This.

The only OP part of the snipers is the huge bodyshot pools, gibbing is their thing, and I’m fine with it. But in a game with slow passive regeneration and as we saw last free rotation a hoard of shitty bodyshot snipers, then it’s really too much.

Personally, I think that all he needs is a health nerf, to like 90. This would make it so that unloading most of a mag on him from a distance will do real damage to him, unlike now where all it does it just give him enough time to get in a headshot on you.

(Just_A_Waffle) #67

To be honest, only 1 out of every 5 Vassilis I have played with are good with him.

Everyone else seems to have taken the “one hit kill sniper” bait from other games and thought they would instantly become a god.

(Azure Emulation) #68

OP, but only because more sufficient counters to Vassili haven’t been released yet (i.e. Phantom sneaking behind enemy lines, Thunder throwing concussion grenades to blind enemies directly, and Redeye throwing smoke grenades to make safer pushes while enemy vision is obscured).

People have learned to play around snipers in CS and CoD through flashes and smokes, and Spy in TF2. In Dirty Bomb, it’s either you out-aim Vassili or GTFO into another lane, with the latter being exactly what he wants you to do.

Also, that instagib headshot seems fishy. Would he really be less useful without it? Sick6 clan says no; it’s already enough that he can severely hinder enemy pushes down a lane with consistent heartbeat sensor intel and one-shot headshots. The scope sway is also very marginal, so you can strafe and shoot with relative ease.
