You can export it to a very large number of screenshots, and convert them to a video file. Google should find you some tutorials on making movies from RTCW or quake3 demos. All the commands should be the same.
OTOH, anyone can get ET for free and watch your demo if they want.
There are some ‘demo player’ programs, but these are really just front ends which pass commands to ET.
ET can convert your demo to AVI.
Run the ET demo player and an on screen menu will pop up with this function provided. 
You can use the AVI recording function in ET, but you won’t get a video. You’ll get a whole bunch of pictures name shotxxxx.tga in your screenshots directory. Here’s a guide to converting to video it in windows. That method requires PSP. I made a perl script to do it in linux. This script assumes you have ImageMagick and transcode installed.
If you are going to edit with a program like Adobe Premiere, you can open the first screenshot, click the “numbered sequence” checkbox in the open dialog, and Adobe will treat the sequence of screenshots like a video clip.
