Is there a way to disable Double time

i reload-cancel by sprinting. Double time doesnt let me do that.

in the settings i have “sprinting cancels reload” on. yet my vassili quick eye, double time loadout doesnt let me reload-cancel by sprinting.

i suggest we give this “sprinting cancels reload” button some use. tbh i dont even know what it does.

You have this “cancel reload” animation thingy in many other fps games…I actually consider this to be a good skill if somebody can perform this effectively.

Sprinting cancels reload is only effective when NOT using a loadout with double time. It PREVENTS you from sprinting(aka reload cancelling) when reloading without double time on your loadout. It does server a purpose, for people who hate it when they go to sprint and it cancels their reload(not the reload animation).

It doesn’t do what you think it does.

You know, I have been forced to use loadout cards with Double Time to not die just because whenever this ‘reload cancel’ kicked in. If I do not have it, I end up watching the animation finish without getting a new clip. Sometimes even thrice in a row, while frantically wall jumping to stay alive.

So I guess I have a question, does this ‘reload cancel’ also affect abilities? Such as skyhammer’s airstrike throw? So many times I have watched the animation finish without getting my throw. Sometimes even multiple throws in a row.

A longjump bind isn’t a bug. It’s not an official feature. It’s an exploit aswell. You know what I mean?

It’s a good kind of “exploit” that adds flavor to the game, like cancelling animations in fighting games. I miss being able to spam 2 ammo packs at once :c

i never had any problems reload cancelling in this game. i think its about how you reload cancel, unless somebody else also has this ‘bug’ of yours

Sprinting cancels reload is only effective when NOT using a loadout with double time. It PREVENTS you from sprinting(aka reload cancelling) when reloading without double time on your loadout. aha, so either it cancels your sprint to let you reload, or it cancels your reload to let you sprint. got it.

can we give this button 2 options, one for when you have a class with double time, and one for when you dont have a class with doubletime?

nope. normal people use reload cancel a lot. its very effective in FPS.
the thing i walk into mostly is that i reload my sniper with 2 bullets left, i see an enemy, i reload cancel (with or without getting the bullets from the reload), and shoot them. with double time i cant do that anymore. and its really annoying for an aggresive sniper like me to have to wait until the reload finishes so that i can kill the guy that i saw.

i suppose its a matter of what you are used to. if you have played a lot of cod you are used to using sprint, while in CS its weapon switching.

The point is longjumping requires multiple keypresses. You can bind it so that a single keypress triggers a longjump using certain software. Being able to longjump is a feature. Being able to longjump with a single keypress is essentially an ‘exploit’ as the game is not designed to do that.

Alright, if by “longjump bind” he meant a macro, then of course it’s an exploit but what does that have to do with reload cancelling? Last time I checked you didn’t need a macro to cancel your reload.

You can have the exact same effect entirely using the functionality provided by the game engine (ingame bindings) in the manner they are designed for using. Nothing is being subverted. How the fuck can you call that an exploit? The only meaning I can really figure is if you really reach and say “exploit” as in “I’m exploiting the strafe ability so that I don’t get shot!”

Using external software sure I can understand that (sorta), but the concept of binding a key to a longjump cannot be considered an exploit if you can do it from the bloody console
