Is there a cvar for compass zoom?

After ridding my HUD of useless names and health, I founnd that I used the compass much more… to spot enemy CvOps. The problem was that I could see a fella that I wanted to ID, but he wasn’t close enough to show up on my compass at default zoom.

Lately I’ve been issuing a few “mapzoomout” commands at the start of my session, but I wanted to know if there was a complimentary cvar that I could set… something like cg_mapzoom “7”.

I’ve looked around, but found nothing. Can anyone help?

There’s no cvar for compass zoom, but there’s a kinda-sorta solution on this thread (link).

Did you mean to include a URL with that last post?

URL’s are the same color as normal text now :weird:

i just use this in my config file.
bind [ “mapzoomin” //zooms compass map in
bind ] “mapzoomout” //zooms compass map out

i use mousewheel for that…

I also use the mousewheel for alot of other things…but mapzoom-in/out is the default “function” of the mousewheel.
