“nerf proxy mines!”
“Better damage for sniper rifles!”
“nerf Thunder!”
i seriously dont know why people would want an easier game…
go play COWADOODY if you want easy game.

Thunder’s Concussion Grenades actually need a nerf though.
[/quote]
i think thunder’s grenade right now is just fine. the old concussion was worse than this. before thunder and phantom rework the concussion is not good at all. i cant even used it to clear a room since everyone would just sprint out and jump up and down.
well i did mean it mr level 100+ thunder.
i really mean what i say.
really really mean it.
It’s a hipster game, for those who aren’t into mainstream AAA overpriced multiplayers.
for a free game…this feels better than triple A developer games.
i bought Battlefront and its boring as fuck. i bought Battlefield 4, it turns into one hit kill shitfest. Hardline? dont mention that game to me or my PC ever again. Rainbow six Siege? Hackfest 2015. CSGO? Ragefest Quintrillion (i had enough of kids playing CSGO). Call Of duty? the one who see first wins(literal no fun allowed).
in dirty bomb, even theres only few maps, i have played a lot and still not even close to mastering it.
and i can see where dirty bombs going to be when people keep calling nerf this nerf that.
its going to be COWADOODY where kids rage if their favourite weapons gets nerfed or he gets killed by an inferior things.
might as well play water baloons or snowballs for weapons so nobody dies.
no offense tho m8.
im just lost in the words.
Thunders grenade isn’t so bad, imo it just needs a longer cool down. 18-20 seconds instead of 15 sounds perfect to me.
It’s not so much what it does it’s the frequency at which it can be done. Been maining Thunder for a few months now and I do feel the cool down is a little too generous atm.
I dont like flash on thunder at all. It annoys the hell out of me and everyone I play with usually. And thunder also gets banned in tournaments almost always.
Anyways, if not removing it, at least increasing cooldown would be a nice change for better.

why cant thunder nade be in the same cool down with fragger?
I feel you have no clue about game design if you think balancing a game makes it a “COWADOODY”.
So because people have legitimate complaints about counter play it’s becoming casual?
I think you need to check your definitions, a causal game lacks depth, it is really not meant to be played for very long. Call of Duty for example, you can play that for about 3 weeks and move on. Other games demand a lot of time to get good or to explore all that depth the game has to offer. Skyrim I would argue is a hardcore game to a certain degree…shooter wise I think Dirty Bomb has some casual elements in it already.
The TTK is so fast that most people either die, or are basically 2 shots away from dead before they can even start returning fire. There are a lot of instant kills that are, let’s be honest, fairly frequent. There are a lot of things that leave you feeling powerless, rather than if you pay attention the ques you can deal with them.
Look, I love Dirty Bomb, but I will definitely say it’s got plenty of room for legitimate criticisms.
“nerf proxy mines!”
That’s a fair thing to say, considering you have basically 3 methods of dealing with them, shooting them, avoiding them, or jumping over them before they damage you. Shooting them can kill your team mates or you by accident, since the explosive radius than the trigger radius. Avoiding them is not hard when there’s one Proxy, but when there’s more than one, then it gets tricky, plus pub players put them in random places, it’s hard to predict where they will be. Jumping over them isn’t as great anymore since lockon makes the time so quick you will still take damage even if you jump.
“Better damage for sniper rifles!”
This imo is not a legitimate concern, you can already 1 shot people to the head, so there’s no need to go more than that. Leave them alone, if anything remove the Felix since it literally has NO room in the meta.
“nerf Thunder!”
There is a number of legitimate complaints here, the flash of the bang, the slowing of movement, the fact that you can’t react to it fast enough in most situations.
I think people need to stop pretending the game is perfect as is, and maybe consider the reality that as good as it is, it can be better for everyone.

even if it doesnt insta kill like grenades do it just a real pain since its pretty easy to use (prepare to throw wait for the wave and throw it turn corner and go kill them) not like fragger who need to cook so it explode in the right moment + the slow of the conc grenade maybe be alot more team purpose then just fragger cause all the other team would be slowed if they grouped and even if he is no in the slow radius he will have the flash and cant see anything
the real pain in the conc grenade is the flash cause even if you try and run away you still get flashed a little and that make you pretty much vulnerable especially if you’re with a slow merc cause if thunder doesnt run enough to catch you his team will
and the reason people want mines nerfed are the kamikaze proxy and for the snipers i didnt hear any veteran wanting a buff in the snipers (only if we speak about the one who want the jump sniping back but thats another story) people are too used to the insta kill with snipers in other games (the awp in cs go ) but i personnaly dont want snipers to get a buff cause that would make the vassili rotation even worst for low healths (since the felix i think only let aura/sparks with 1HP)
i feel you have no clue about not being a splashy wanky crapshow if you think trying to cater to noobs is “balancing”

Cook before spawn wave, throw.
how is that harder? and they died instantly too, no need for more shooty to get kills. even if there are survivor, k121 is good against many low health people. Meanwhile thunder needs to go there, shoot, and have a higher risk that some of them didnt look at the blast and shoot back (thats why you get 170 hp)

At least he knows how to speak well, you should take lessons
But the other thing is, if catering to noobs means addressing complaints that seemingly everyone here has, which is certain things lacking counter play, like the mines or conc nades, then hell no game should ever be changed upon release. We should just release game whether they are finished or not and never change them.

if fragger miss the cook nothing will happen to the ennemy but if thunder miss he still have the flash effect without forgetting his tankiness will help even more to clean the area

Adressing complaints/bugs is not the same with catering to noobs so they can go shooty splashy and everyone wins. (because thats what im feeling with what you guys trying to say in the forum)
whats the point of playing if its easy? or the vets are just wankers that goes
“waah-waah muh feelings!” when theres something kills you easily and your skills cant adapt?
i agree with you that there are stuff that needs fixing or balancing. but making something weaker so “noobies feelings” wont be hurt is just blaphemy.
Dirty Bomb is a casual game. It has little to no strategic rarities. It employs all the same core strategies every team based multiplayer FPS game does. It takes about 45 minutes of play to learn any one merc role, and they don’t change.
But that’s why it’s fun. It’s incredibly easy to pick up and learn and it takes almost no effort to play. It’s a simple way to relax stress free. If it was something complex like… I don’t know, vanilla StarCraft, then it wouldn’t be fun.
The fact that head shots aren’t a 1 hit kill on all mercs is straight up bad and is one of few reasons why sniper is unplayable.
Thunder’s flash bang is so bad I don’t even try to avoid it anymore. I look away so I don’t get blind and just kill whoever turns a corner to come after me. It’s just not effective against players that pay attention.

its easy to pick up but not really easy to master. it takes practice.

Yea but there’s your problem, you’re assuming people making these posts are noobs, just because they disagree with you. And yet, when you would make a post, I bet you’d get the same response.
Instead of dismissing what they’re saying as noob complaints, try understanding what caused them to post it in the first place. Understand their perspective, if you’re as smart as you think you are, you should be able to explain why they are wrong or why their ideas won’t jive with the game.
