So after i download the 257mb file it ends up being…just a file…not an .exe, what am i missing?

Where did you download it from?
Is it packed up in zip, rar, or what type of file it is.
If, you downloaded from SD, for windows it should be an exe file.

no i just checked the link u gave me, withought even starting the installation i can see its just a blank white paper picture, in other words its not seeing it as an .exe

try this:

and turn on file extensions in windows explorer/tools/folder options/view

Also when you download, don’t use any downloading software. Directly download using IE, Mozilla or Google Chrome.

that gave me the executable thanks, i always have file extensions visible btw, just for myself and that previous installation from filehack had no extention on it, was just a file…weird but thanks again for that link
