No. I never saw him shooting at a target that I couldn’t see before. Maybe that is because my game is heavily tweaked, too, dunno.

Notice how his shots miss at first then always hit after the first try?

Well… No. I watched carefully for this and couldn’t see anything. He usually had pretty good aiming on targets which were standing still, but right from the beginning. On moving targets, his tracking was average, if that’s an aimbot, it sucks ass. I never saw his aim getting better after the first shot.

There are much more impressive players than those. You usually don’t find them easily on publics though.

People believe in cheats easily because they LIKE thinking that everyone who is so much better than them doesn’t play fair. It’s just not true.

I don’t really have a hate everyone better than I am complex. I don’t really play ET anymore. I got sick of the airstrike spam and went back to RTCW. I’ll make some examples of what I am talking about and post some pictures. I’m not trying to troll or start flame wars I’m just speaking my opinion of the video. :slight_smile:

First off sorry about the size.
To anyone that thinks cheats don’t exist, here’s a ballhack. It’s outdated but the programmer was quite adamant about how he would update it as pb updated.

Here’s about a second before the headshot I was talking about. That is one of the most amazing headshots I have ever seen. My screencapture lagged behind, I couldn’t even tap a button and get the timing :disgust:

This is just a shot of a ballhack, if you watch this part of the video, he hides and knows the exact moment of the respawn to jump out. The balls show it. I’m sure he doesn’t have the exact timings memorized. (I am aware of the gun shots that sound off around the same time, but he looked like he was moving before they started.)

Here’s an example of him hiding behind a pillar and knowing when to jump out. In this case he knew right when the teamate was showing up.

The part most of all that I think proves he is using this cheat is just a little after 9:10 in the demo. Two allies are running towards the door to go to the allied command post. He kills one, the other runs off through the door. Without the ballhack you wouldn’t know that he had stopped at the corner past the door. However, if you watch, ace (I think that’s his name) rather than using a gun like everyone would. Draws his knife and runs right to the allied troop. As if he could see him through the wall (ballhack).

Watching it over and over I started thinking he was just good. But I also had to wonder, seeing how he sometimes took out the entire allied team on hardly any ammo.

Either way my conclusion is, hack or not, I hope I never play against him :eek2:

Well actually i do think its funny and I laugh at every person that comes on here and yells cheater, same with in-game and other forums.

It does nothing to yell cheater- EXCEPT proliferate cheaters.

Almost all accustations are false.

There is a properway to handle cheaters.

There are cheats out there.

THIS IS NOT COUNTERSTRIKE.

People who get caught using cheats basically have to change isp’s/ip’s/emails/nics–basically their identity’s to play again without getting heckled at least.

If you dont know how to even utilize a demo, you probably dont know the game, which in turn leads to …well just cause ya got killed doesnt mean it was a cheater. I mean, why did you decide to download and use cheats in a game, so you could be better, because someone killed you??? i dont know i can only speculate. As i said above when i first started playing, I couldnt be “that bad”… i spent my time reading- making my computer faster (IRQ’s, binds, more memory ect…ect…)and practicing/playing with the people that always took me out.

After a while a realized, that yes there are people that cheat, but not a whole lot… A lot more accusations than actual cheaters, A LOT more. The accusations are just as bad as the cheaters imo because most are wrong.

I learned that skills will take care of botters. hence KILL BOTTERS

Think that sums it up for me. I did warn from the outset that yelling “cheat” whenever you get owned (which is going to happen in ET as some have effectively been playing the game for 2 years (RTCW) whilst others have just grabbed it off a magazine cover disk and haven’t a clue what they’re doing) was the surest way to encourage cheating.

We had an opportunity when this game was still new to all of us to make an effort to ensure it didn’t go down the same road as Quake / CounterStrike. But with all these recent posts of people claiming cheats are everywhere I can see how some people might now be tempted to go get one themselves, on the basis that “if everyone’s using them, then I should do so as well”.

Maybe the fault lies in the fact that the game is free (or more specifically that GUID banning isn’t effective) rather than the player base, but even so it would be truly sad if even one person acquires a hack because they feel they need it to compete (with other cheaters).

I have still to see even a single cheater (or even suspect anyone of cheating) on any server I’ve ever played on, so I’m not giving up on the game yet, but a free game + human nature doesn’t bode well for the future of ET. :frowning:

As for this particular case, I don’t see any evidence of cheating. Ace is a good shot, but I’ve seen better (by people I KNOW don’t cheat). Hiding behind stuff and leaning is nothing new. Anticipation = experience and / or luck, it doesn’t necessarily indicate a cheat is being used. And stick cg_drawreinforcementtime 1 in your config, watch the enemy respawn once and you’ll then know for the rest of the game exactly when, to the second, the other team respawn.

Seriously, this thread has gotten out of hand, I started this to put up a demo of two guys who I found unbelievably good. The whole cheat thing is cause they are so damn good, only way I could prolly get that good is by cheating.(dont freak out, I dont cheat nor will). You guys are getting too carried away with this whole cheat thing, cheats exist in all games, you’ll never find a game that doesnt have some kind of hack, I can almost gaurantee that. Anyway, im too tired for this, if I could, I would delete this entire thread.

u don’t have an idea of what good gamers are able to do, there is nothing exceptional in doing headshots on long distances or having 40% accuracy, check here if u want to see some good gameplay:

Actually, the accuracy would prove of the cheat used. The aimbot. Ace would have been well over 60%. Problem with recording is that it doesn’t really show the true motion of the player, just close to it. These are most likely the same two cheaters I ran into. But one couldn’t use the aimbot correctly. The other one was a medic with highest frags (of course more than double of the best) and an accuracy of 88%. The aimbot isn’t perfect. 40% is a little rare, most ppl are in the 30’s I’ve seen the best with 34%, not including panzers, airstrikes, etc.
The other problem is the aimbot uses open_gl or DirectX codes, not the game itself. I have an email from Punkbuster that they will not even try to detect these cheats. Just ballhacks, and such, no aimbots.
Had the same problem with America’s Army. And yes, on their servers many banned for their aimbot. Not because of pb, but an admin ghosting them.
Thankfully, cheating is a little rare in ET still. Hopefully it will stay that way.

While playing this game you are going to get owned people,please get over it.
Even experienced players get killed in 1v1’s. The trouble with this game is it’s free. Personally i wish Activision would have charged £20 for it as a multiplayer game and offered offical suport for it.

You now have the situation where people have played Rtcw in clans for 2 years are coming up against players who have never played wolf and have just installed this free game and ofcourse the new guys are getting owned.
Drawgun set to zero, tweaked configs,jump scripts etc,etc the new guys are coming up against all this and can’t beleive how accurate certain players are.
Rather than shout “cheat” everytime they get their ass handed to em’ on a plate they should be inspired to learn,practice and get better.

Ofcourse there are cheats out there,i’m not denying this atall.Infact i have emailed evenbalance about a couple i came across recently but tbh they are few and far between.

Most players who uses cheat suck at rtcw or E.t anyway (thats why they need to cheat) so it should’nt be much of a problem to take em’ out anyway.

I have been playing Rtcw since the demo and have never been accused of cheating (maybe i suck :stuck_out_tongue: ) but as soon as i started playing E.t the accusations started to come thick and fast.At first i took these comments as a compliment but after a while they ruin your fun. Afterall it’s no fun playing on a server where everyone on there thinks your cheating thanks to some numbnuts screaming “omfg h4x0r” everytime you kill him in a 1v1 :frowning:

Tbh all these posts about cheating are doing nothing but harm to this community. While it’s good to have an awareness of hacks that are out there a false picture that everyone uses these hacks is being painted.Resulting in more people wanting to try them.
Evenbalance is doing a good job of controlling them and keeping hacks to a minimun.

My advice to everyone:

Load your E.t up. jump on your favourite server and have fun. Don’t get so paranoid about a cheat hiding behind every blade of grass (unless they have a cvar unlocker :stuck_out_tongue: )

I look at the radar at the top right a lot… have it zoomed out twice… I know when teammates will show up too without them being in my field-of-vision :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:
