influx of cheaters this week in public games.

(asparagusMist) #1

not sure if a new multihack or something is out but seen many blatant aimbots this week in normal public games.

normally you see these kind in comp games but this week in public the amount seen has been more than a avg week.

this is why i wonder if there has been a new mulithack released.

these are blatant cheats aswell. snap to head body one shots prefire one shots.every single kill.not with just snipers only. the report function is basically useless since being implemented also.

people i have reported with it and i have even reported and recording aimbotting just arnt banned. they even had vac bans for other games ! so its not hard to see this needs sorting out.

As Amerika explained in another thread on this issue, a lot of old pros are coming back due to the event. I’ve seen them myself and even recognise a few, and most of them are insanely good. Unless their playtime is not proportional to the skill they have, then report them if you want to, as they may be hackers, but they could also be smurfs.

Basically, a lot of god players are back, so I’d stick to non min level servers if your accuracy is sub par (that’s what I’ve been doing)

(Yes) #3

I’ve seen a couple too.

(PurpleNurple) #4

If you’re over lvl 20 I suggest playing on the min 20 servers. It’s a lot more intense and if a blatant cheater does make its way into it the people are aware enough to kick them.

Since starting to play again on the no rule servers I ran into a one blatant cheater named DELETED who advertised his “free week of cheats” then proceeded to head shot everyone. All it took was a vote kick start then telling the team over voip to press F1. The thing I’ve noticed about this community in particular is whenever there is a blatant we’ve been able to kick them with ease as long as you get their attention.

(Occult) #5

i’ve seen one blatant, one-shot-headshot-reload-tracking-through-walls guy and he was booted quickly.
been a looong time since i’ve seen a hacker.

but i have a feeling op is seeing this

(Jostabeere) #6

I have to agree. There is a big growth in the cheaters population lately.
Sure, old pros are coming back, but old pros aren’t lvl 1-10. Recorded one wallhacker yesterday (can’t post but is available at my channel) and a damage hacker with a lvl 0 main account which wasn’t used for a month. Banned maybe? Got a damage hacker in the team today.
They always fit a pattern: Private profile or lvl 0 steam. And low-level in-game.
@blisteringOwlNest I hardly doubt people are smurfing. There is absolutely no reason to smurf here. We don’t have a ranking system like CSGO, and those “smurfers” play in pub. So why smurfing if they have an account with an “obvious pro” stamp and shiny cards.

(blisteringOwlNest) #7

@Jostabeere I only say that as I like to start again when I pick up an old game, but due to the nature of db your probably right. Also, you have a channel? Mind if I get the link?

I’ve spotted a few cheaters here and there, but not ‘many’.
Whenever I get suspicious I just go spectate for a while. Some are blatant, others take a while to make sure they are consistent at looking at enemies through walls, even though there is no reason to be looking there.

And sometimes I just throw in a report and let the GMs decide, since I can’t see people aim in real-time in this steaming pile of bullcrap spectator mode, and thus wouldn’t be able to tell if people are ‘too gud’ at tracking players on the move.

The few hackers I’ve seen in the past weeks haven’t been blatant, so either they’re smarter or I’m just salty.

Yesterday i saw a guys came in, destroyed everyone, and casually advertised his hack engine :expressionless:

(asparagusMist) #10

can i make it clear im not a new player and have close to 800 hrs ingame. the players im talking about arnt pros they are snapping one shot killing damage hacks wallhacks.

there was a wave like this about 6 months ago then the devs had a sweep up and it returned to pretty clean game again. seeing only odd hacker every now and then. yesterday seen atleast 4 blatant cheats in 4 games.

lol went on last night to mess about checking twitch was working wasnt even bothered about playing more for getting the stream right for next broadcast got in first server and everyone is saying ffs ! can we not get rid of this hacker already ! id just had 4 games with hacktards in joins a random game again and someone else is hacking. it wasnt even me talking about him either .

so others are noticing it. so i suggest the devs check all the free hack sites see whats been released and get banning and sorting it out.

the games great love it. just not when willy aimbot is ruining it.

(pinny0101) #11

Yeah, I have noticed this too, I already have 2, videos of hackers up on my channel in like 2 day, and a 3rd one I haven’t posted yet. All the ones I have seen have some sort of seeking bullet hack, so it’s kind of hard to notice, because it doesn’t like instantly lock onto enemies, but it does damage to them even if just shooting near them. Pretty obvious with the noscoping snipers, tougher to spot with assault rifles and the like.

(Ardez1) #12

That is client side hit detection… not hacking(it sounds like). There is a delay in what you see as a spectator. You aren’t viewing what they can see. You are viewing what the server sees, not what that player sees.

(pinny0101) #13

Can I leave a link to by video?? [Removed] pretty sure it’s hacking. You can still look at it on my channel, same name as this, you can tell it’s hacking because he got headshot noscopes 3 times in a row and the bullets landed nowhere near the target.

(Mrarauzz) #14

I have recorded a cheater lately, but he was so bad I assumed he wasn’t cheating when the lobby called hacks. I think it is a new wave but the anti cheat should catch up soon. I’m sure I’ve ran into more but some are really bad like the guy I recorded lol, also can we get a separate space for spectators in lobbies? I get flamed so hard for not being in game trying to record a potential cheater. Any word if this will happen @RazielWarmonic

(Ardez1) #15

No, you cannot link the video on the forums here because you are accusing them of hacking. It is against forum rules.

Edited

(FlatBeat) #17

I’ve run into a few in the last few days after not seeing one in months, all blatant aimbots.

(Havik_Gaming) #18

I have only seen two hackers my whole time playing, on was obviously hacking by camping our spawn and killing us all as soon as we spawned with a stark ar, and i made an entire forum about him which i shouldn’t have done. the second guy i saw definitely had a toggle as some rounds (in execution) he would miss tons of shots, then other he would kill the entire team as we came around a corner. both were low lvls but definitely not smurfs, unless a smurf can kill 5 people (all being proxy, sparks and aura) with five head shots from a pdp as soon as we all turn a corner.

(blisteringOwlNest) #19

Looks like there’s a security update, so obviously there was a new hack tool out. Hopefully this sorts out the issue, and we will be good for a good few months. You can check announcements if you want a source.

(MarsRover) #20

This is server maintenance - underlying OS is getting security updates. NGS updates happen all the time without any server downtime. (AFAIK)
