increase credit amount

(LiNkz) #41

Credits seems to be in okay place now, I since you get the credits for both sides in stopwatch + the base increase. It feels more reasonable now.

I still find it weird that there’s “Skill bonus” or something like that and everyone has the same amount of credits in it. It’s too misleading, might as well change it to “Teamwork bonus” or something since the game doesn’t reward you from anything else than time-spent and winning.

But yeah, im perplexed just as you when someone calls gg when one team has completely <1 k/d
To come back on topic, you guys just pointed out why teamplay and balance should be promoted by the credit earning. Otherwise, the game would have promoted piniz behaviour and I’m totally against that.

As @Linkz mentionned, there could be some kind of small skill bonus. To keep it simple, 1/1000 or 2/1000 of your game score ? For a 10000 points game, you’d receive 10/20 extra credits. That sounds reasonable enough to me.
yes. who has been in a game when the game is over in 5 mins. one team totally dominated doing all obj’s super fast and basically pushing one side back into spawn and beating them into a pup? Who has also seen the winning team then be all “GG!!” Ggg! GG!" in global chat.
You shouldn’t read to much into a gg good game v586, it doesn’t really mean anything, i usually do it out of habit and not because i thought it was a good game or a bad one, and it’s NEVER meant as disrespect.

nice of you and i see what you mean. But im sure you can understand that feeling when you get absolutely destroyed, no help from your team, enemies everywhere; and then they pat each other on the back with GGs all around when they are ‘done’

(RuleofBooKz) #45

if you just do something, and keep doing it, without ever thinking about “why” you are doing it, just saying

I take back what I said earlier in this topic.

The increase is barely noticable. I just played a full objective game where I had 8.7k EXP.

Base fee: 180
Win amount: 56
Skill amount: 26

Add it all up and you get 262 credits.

How does 8.7k EXP translate to a measely 26 credits in a ‘competitive’ game? This really needs to change in my opinion.

I’m pretty sure it’s based primarily on how long the game took, not how much XP you gained. The “Skill amount” is always negligibly small, just a little bonus.

(Buttback) #48

I get that feeling too, but I still think the ‘skill amount’ should weigh a lot more heavily in a game that’s supposed to be competitive.

“Stacking” isn’t unfair, how is being good unfair, how is having friends unfair, how is wanting a team that plays for the objective unfair? They should allow parties in casual imo, if you have no one that wants to play with you, then you are doing something wrong.
being good isnt unfair. But stacking 10 good players on one team against newbies is. I’m not saying you can’t play with your friend. But if youre team locks the opponent down in their spawn, enemy completely outmatched , well that is pretty lame.

I’d like players who strive towards balanced games, cause thats where the fun is. Personally, nothing is more boring for me than steamrolling the opponent.
Yeah but thats how teams practice their strats and stuff. And farm.

As a player base we will always be in favor of more points. Its up to the devs to see if it makes profitable sense. Right now it doesnt because new players will feel shafted and leave. It seems like the points are based upon game time whereas xp is based upon skill.

(RuleofBooKz) #50

lol “teams prac their strats and stuff”! Hilarious! even u cant be bothered to come up with something more plausible than “stuff”.

In a nutshell the better players will recognise other good players and so want to be on the same side. Usually.

So you get a situation where even tho the game balances after every game of objective u have good players changing teams in the game lobby making the game unbalanced again so its a stacked game. They will continue to do that until the server dies and everyone joins a new server and the process starts again.

Until “good players” have a rethink about what it really means to be “good” in a pub its going to keep happening.
I’d like to see an aftermatch survey: do you think the game was balanced (teams)? If 66%> vote yes: +10-15% bonus $$$ all around.

One might think people will always vote yes to get them extras, but you’d be surprised how much spiteful revenge is boiling up in a m8 who just got steamrolled by an unfair team stack.
And giving more $$$ to the team that have been in inferiority during nearly all the round ?

(Szakalot) #52

giving more $$$ to everyone if people thought the game was balanced. In the scenario you describe, the people who felt the teams were unbalanced will not vote that they were.

(ev1ldarks) #53

And if people vote unbalanced, where goes the money ?

(Szakalot) #54

nowhere; nobody gets any (any extra). Its a ‘i will see my $$$ burn to the ground before i’ll let those !@#$%^&* from the other team get any $$$ themselves’ mentality that I’m relying for here. Couple times the stackers will get burned for 10-15%, maybe they will consider other peeps playing experience as well.

edit: I should add that the winning team is more likely to be awarded little bit more credits, so a 10-15% bonus is a bigger loss for them than for the losing team. Give up 10$ to punish the unfair players for 30$ , why the hell not! >:) . But teams were balanced, and I can get my extra 10$ ; why thank you very much game!
