Brink, The REAL ‘Balanced’ FPS game | Call of Duty Black Ops should take notes!
The misinformation is strong in this one.

Have to assume that the previewer is not a native english speaker, because the english is bad. First sentence: “The game is full of actions, dynamic characters and it is a great platform multiplayer gaming.”
no idea. I just saw it in the approval queue over on N4G so I threw it over here.
german magazine 360 live announced a “comprehensive preview” in their next issue which arrives on 27th april
LOL That is so far away from now, and so close to the release date, by then, I may well be in my car on the way to the store to pick the game up! lol
Thanks for the heads-up, though. :stroggtapir:
Hands on with Andrea Rene.
Don’t know if it’s been posted; thought it was pretty cool.

There is actually 2 parts to the interview. That is just Part I The full article is here:

Both videos are now close captioned and you can download the transcription thru you tube.
My apologies for the poor audio. There was a lot going on at PAX at the time around that area.
We are just a small fansite run by gamers trying to help out our fellow gamers actually get good information instead of marketing fluff. We would like to do more andhave $2000 noise cancelling shotgun mics but our resources are limited. Though there was so much going on at the time of the interview at PAX I don’t know if it would have helped. (we used a voice recorder for the audio not a cam or cell phone)
We also had events at SWTOR, the BYOC and Guild Wars 2 going on at the same time that we were also covering.
We are not nor do we pretend to be journalists. We have people that have actually played splash damage games before and know what they are talking about write and do the interviews. We try and do more than the usual “previews and reviews” that most gamesites stick to. We actually cover games after they are released and write tweak guides and strategy tips to help our fellow gamers well after release day.
You want journalism go to the Pros at Fox News or IGN. See how much good information you get there
We just try and do the best we can with what we got.
We do accept donations for our new microphone fund and volunteers to cover events for us or caption our videos
Thanks to Edward and Steve for talking with us and answering our questions.

brink gets esrb teen rating:
Brink
Platform: Windows PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Rating: Teen
Content descriptors: Blood, Language, Violence
Rating summary:
This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of soldiers fighting for control of a futuristic city. Players use assault rifles, shotguns, grenades, and mines to kill enemy soldiers and complete team-based objectives (e.g., defending locations and collecting items). The frenetic combat is accompanied by realistic gunfire, large explosions, and cries of pain. Blood effects occur when soldiers are shot, and they remain on the ground when defeated; players have the ability to shoot dead characters, resulting in brief splashes of blood. The words ‘*****’ and ‘bastard’ can be heard in the dialogue.
I didn’t mean to insult the Fragworld guys, or anyone else.
Many bloggers don’t realize that they are journalists. Journalists are people who do research about a topic and publish information with the intent of informing an audience. Game journalism is such a young field that there are no standards. Some of the links shared in this thread use second-hand information-- that is the person publishing the article did not come anywhere near the article’s subject and never credit the original author. That kind of thing would see the author thrown out of most newspapers. They would be disgraced, black-listed and so on.
I’m grateful for the information, when the information is correct. I’m not saying “info” needs to be kept under glass and handled with white gloves or anything, but bloggers, interviewers and other writers need to be responsible.

I’m really disappointed. Only the words “****” and “bastard” are in this? I really thought they would throw in some ****, , motherer etc :C
edit: Why is this forum even censored? Aren’t we all FPS gamers and therefore old enough to read bad words? Kinda ridiculous from a German point of view.
