Brink is not even on the top 20 on major nelsons website for top most played games. I love this game and it fell off. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH.
At least I can find people on the PC version.

Thereās still plenty of people playing Brink on 360. Iāve got 40-50 friends on my list playing the title. For the last week and a half we have been running community games and for the vast majority of nights/matches we have had full human player 8v8 big teams. Feel free to add your GT to the thread in my sig or shoot me an FR if you are interested in playing with real people.
Just keep playing if you like Brink. Brink is a brand new IP. The entire Xbox live Major Nelson list is sequels with the exception of LaNoire and RDR. Brink was the second highest selling game in May. Brink had a shaky launch, and some backlash from players with expectations that were perhaps too high. But it is so new and innovative, it will take some time to build up a community. It is a team-based objective game; not many of such games on that list. Give it time.
Oh donāt get me wrong I will keep playing it. Itās been a long time since I wanted to sit down and play a shooting game.
Sucks that the game that Iām most into people are dismissing. Itās too good of a game to be tossed like that.
Iāll send you a FR soon Nephaerius as Iām looking to play real people. I do play big teams, because that is where I find the most players. But they start dropping out and i criez.
I also like Duke Nukem even though everyone is hating on it.
Basically games have become about Sequels and yearly releases of an updated version of the previous game. Brink 2 would do better than the first simply by building up a following. Maybe the DLC gets Brink bumped back up a bit. A lot of fun games are not on that list.
I cant be bothered playing till the DLC hits, not enough maps. Playing Duke instead.
In before people who have a disturbing need to justify their purchase say something like āwho cares about the numbersā
errā¦wait, too late
Can you honestly be a fanboy after what has happened since may 10thā¦? Optimistic yes⦠but I donāt think anyone can call themselves a fanboy with a straight face lol.
Brinkās following was far larger before the game was actually released. It will always remain that way now. Itās the game that promised so much and delivered so little. That does not sit well with gamers. Most people forgot this game even is in there library of games by now.

dont be sad. brink deserve it.
Iām a fan of what Brink is attempting to do. But as of now I think itās doing it poorly in several aspects. Itās frustrating. I can say what goes wrong but I canāt say why it goes wrong.
Currently itās not worth the money I paid for it. The game experience is stale and hollow, totally the opposite of ETQW where I felt like a Machiavellian strategist that could subtly steer any match in my direction. ETQW matches were clear, your skills existed to serve a higher purpose and you could execute any idea you conjured in your mischievous little head. This is not just nostalgia. I can log in now and have an awesome couple of QW games.
In Brink I stutter through the levels battling with console features plastered on top of it and feeling gimped by poor weapon balance.
Which is exactly why you canāt mess up the first instalment of a game like that.
I loved the idea of this game. I have wanted to love the game, but at this point after some fun matches, some meh matches and some lag filled āI had to quit mid-matchā matches. Iām still playing occasionally, but Iāve been playing some PC strategy games way more for the past few weeks.
Yeah, expecting to have a MP lobby in a MP game is way to high an expectation to have in this day and age.
This causes sooo many problems I canāt even go into it. (playing comp. on xbox)
I feel like every person who asks me about this game has to be given that information as a disclaimer, and itās not a good thing.
The games fun as hell⦠but⦠
Love your enthusiasm, Mr Wolf. Whilst you are commendably consistent, and as such clearly sincere, Iāve never seen you acknowledge any of Brinkās faults, though.
Youāre aware of them, yes?
In light of the graphics, AI, lag and lobbies issues, do you really believe Brink is Top 20 material? Use your head, and not your heart, mateā¦do you really?
I, too, love Brink and play it compulsively. The difference between us is that I accept that Brink could use a little work, if Iām honest. Support a new IP with massive potential? Hell yeah! Do so blindly, blinkered to itās flaws?..no.
Blind faith will not encourage the evolution of the game we all sincerely want to see. If you really love Brink, join the movement for improvement, brother.
LMAO. I like brink too, but saying that Brink was the second highest selling game in May is the same as saying āThat kid is the skinniest one in fat camp.ā
I donāt get it. In W:ET we had 6 standard maps and there were servers running only them without one single custom map in between - for about 5 years(!) and they were often filled to the limit.
How can maps get boring when you have these intense matches on them?

Oh well - i think Iāll play another round of goldrush !
