Hello everybody, I just open a thread to basically saying that I like BRINK a lot. The game is really fun and I don’t have any difficulty to join a game on the PC. At first, It was difficult to find a good game it was chaotic, now a few amount of people playing this game and knows what they’re doing, it’s always fun. I’m not saying that BRINK hasn’t serious issues (HUD, spread, scramble or balance system is missing, performance, etc…) but I still don’t understand why this game turned into a troll magnet. I blame bethesda for almost everything, for trying to sell us a “multi-platform competitive game” which sound really weird, what did you expect?? For the disastrous marketing campaign, which has been led to believe to a lot of TDM players that BRINK will be a great game for them, and for not giving to SD more money for dlc’s and tweaks. Half of the forum is full of “I’m done with BRINK”, “BRINK sucks”, “I know how to make a AAA title, listen to me SD” and I’m really getting tired of it. But thanks to the other half of the forum who making constructive feedbacks more than I do (because my English suck as you noticed).
I'm loving BRINK, do I troll?
Have you tried ETQW?
Don’t let anyone spoil the fun you may have with the game.
Yeah 20 euros is a tad steep for an old game, but activision stopped giving a hoot about it long ago so it’s not likely to turn up in sales any time soon.
All I can say that it’s worth it.
Nope, but I’m really curious about it. I can find it at low cost now, if the game is not empty I might get it.
It’s more populated than Brink and if you like this game then ETQW will most likely blow your mind into oblivion.
I just found it for 5 euros http://www.game.fr/Product/Default.aspx?SKU=072917. But I don’t know if I can involve myself in another PvP game, I’m already looking for RO2, (TF2 + BRINK + RO2 + ETQW) I would have no life anymore lol. But for the price it worth the try.
If you buy ETQW then you don’t need those other games anymore
So it’s a win-win. You pay only 5 bucks and you get your life back with 1 game

I found ETQW to be mediocre in comparison to RTCW and W:ET. I have more fun playing Brink than ETQW.
you are intitled to your opinion
I found ETQW quite enjoying. So many things you can do, so many ways you can play the game, so many things to learn to master, so many different aspects to explore.
In BRINK there is hardly the diversity that was given with ETQW, you can’t deny that
(And I am not talking about the different colours for your pants)
PS:
Just think about the smiley icons for ETQW on this forum.
Now give a suggestion of what they could make for BRINK?

Nope. No fanboys here.
That game looks really bland… = / Gameplay looks totally lackluster. Are there private servers or something that make the game exciting…? Because vanilla looks like a total snoozefest.
You talking about ETQW loofah?
Have you played it?
Cause how can you call ETQW a snoozefest when there are so many things you can do in that game?
At least the negative remarks on BRINK are formed after people have actually played it
ETQW did appear finally on a Steam sale but I think it was only $5 off so still overpriced at $15 for the age. As noted, it can be sourced in a retail (won’t activate in Steam!) version for $5 which is well worth it.

You missed my lack of any bias there. It LOOKS like it’s boring, looks can be deceiving… Hence why I follow up by asking something about the game.
Maybe you can instruct me here rather than letting your fanboyism get in the way. = /
So I still have a question unanswered, or maybe someone can explain to me something I missed in the three gameplay videos I saw… What is the draw? Why do you people LOVE it…? What am I obviously not understanding about the game? Or is it more one of those “acquired tastes” like Brink?
So saying someone looks totally boring is not the same as forming an opinion? Cause it seems to me that you are making assumptions when you say something like that. You cant say someone acts like an asshole if you are not implying that person is indeed an asshole. same thing when you say it looks boring. and to answer you’re question: yhe game actually looks exciting instead of a snoozefest. espevially compared to brink gameplay videos
That’s how you see it, not how I see it then. We have a disagreement in basic principle here.
I’m far more technical than that.
To me, if I say something looks boring, it means just that - it LOOKS boring. I’ve always been brought up to acknowledge that things are not always as they appear (look). So to me, that means very close to nothing. It literally translates, in my book, to - “This didn’t strike my fancy, but I’m willing to move past that” or “this very minimal opinion is easily subject to change”.
When I say someone looks, or is acting like, an ass hole it usually means no different. It means NOTHING until I’ve had a personal experience with them.
Now are we going to sit here arguing over technicalities or are you going to answer m questions…? Because I’m not going to continue this if you’re going to continue trying to come up with reasons to attack me. = /
Sorry if my previous post came off as an attack. I just used this as a strong comparison to make my pov clear about opinions. Anyway, in etqw you have two entirely diff teams playing against each other with different weapons and different capabilities. also you have all kinds of vehicles, deployables and the maps are bigger and better (balance and routes). I could go on but i am typing on my smartphone :p.
Just download the demo and see for yourself. I would be willing to download it aswell and show you the ropes ;).
It might feel intimidating at first and confusing. First time i played it i quit and went back to et. 3 months later i gave ut another try and then it fully grew on me.

Youll have to adapt to that fact if you dont want to run into a lot of misunderstanding. Either by explaining in more detail or rephrasing with other words. A hard lesson for the IT crowd
Social behavior is by far more complex then true/false values…
I tried wolf:ET this afternoon, I have so much to learn but it looks so fun! It remind me a lot of BRINK. I let you know when I will be more used to the game, it’s really difficult I like that!
