i'm dying from lack of good games

SplashDamage, hereby i greatly THANK YOU for the best and most funniest multiplayer game ever. i’m playing ET now ever since it was released.

i tried farcry, but multiplayer was laggy as hell and besides it was no fun and sucked big.
vietnam was fun, but only for short time, then it became boring. i think i played it approx 5 hours. the flag capturing sucks, especially on these large maps.
doom 3 was the first game which had a chance of becoming my new alternative. but a 4 player multiplayer part isn’t an option. i wonder why id didn’t see that? 8 players in the coming update won’t be an option either. better, but not sufficient.
star wars battlefront ain’t fun at all. i wonder why they even released that game.
counter strike source is the worst crap i’ve ever seen. i wonder who can stand that laggy, hacked gameplay? you play 10 seconds, got headshot due to wallhack/aimbot combo and have to wait 2:30 minutes for the next round? that sucks.

and now i’m back again in Enemy Territory. it’s plain FUN! that’s all that counts for a game.

my only light is you. i hope you’ll release RTCW2 soon and i do hope it will be like ET.

my second light is Battlefield 2, when you read the specs it sounds like enemy territory. but i’m afraid they can’t bring in the fun into a game as splashdamage can. especially as bf2 will have too much heavies.

too bad that ET is a bit outdated. nontheless keep up the good work, you guys are our only hope! i hope you’ll finish RTCW2 soon. i’m starving from hunger for a good online game.

THANK YOU!!!

I know what you mean, there are no fps games with the same appeal and feeling i get with Enemy Territory. Although i’m having a short brake and went back playing some RPGs Fallout2/NWN/BG

But i guess we won’t see RTCW2 soon, i guess it will be somewhere around May 2005 :stuck_out_tongue:
i do think it is time to release some information about it

Take care

…and may I add that hopefully RTCW2 will contain the free MP mode RTCW2: ET wich in my eyes is the best way to keep it´s popularity. After all RTCW and ET is 2 way different kinda games.

I find it especially hard to find a co-op game that is anywhere near as much fun as ET.
Most games seem to ignore the teamplay angle …

Im waiting for F.E.A.R, hoping for AvP3, playing ET and playing go.

(bacon) #6

There’s no logic behind that. Why would we pay for the single player portion while the MP (the one that gets played the most) is free? Next time, think before you post…

(chr0nicles) #7

RTCW2 containing SP & MP should be ‘buyable’ in a normal & special edition (thin) box
They released ET freely and i still hate them for not making a box  ( though i understand why they released it freely) and ofcourse i’ll be buying the special edition since they deserved it and i’ll support them by buying it

I know its much to ask, but i hope it will contain a Co-Op SP, but i doubt it will.

no logic in the popularity of a free game like ET has become? duh!
RTCW is a perfectly good SP game with a mp mode that rocked my world. ET took it even further with the help of bani and his team. free of charge ET made the number of players and went a big success (still is). The top 2 games according to gamespy: #1: CS, #2: ET.
In order to maintain the success of ET i would enjoy seeing a new improved ET as a bonus with RTCW2, to keep the spirit so to say.
Now it´s more likely they will take advantage of the success of ET and ETPro and make RTCW2 a combination of RTCW and ET. In my eyes a sad thing to do since Bani deserves a lot of credit for ET and has supported to ET´s popularity and success.
With all this is mind I would really enjoy RTCW2 with a new improved ET mp mode free of charge and standalone.

Why would you NOT pay for a SP game? Well I can´t answer for you but I sure would pay for RTCW2 sp and mp part… Let´s face it - some people still like RTCW better than ET and vice versa. 2 different kinda games imho.

and to answer chronicles: u can buy the RTCW box that includes ET.

to which god do i have to pray so that comes true?

and yup, bani deserves a lot of credit. i do hope they involve him somehow into development.

aint that the truth

ETF :\

(Sick Boy) #12

Yeah I’m also putting my short-term hopes on ETF

They’re getting close to a release candidate. Maybe ETF will see the light before the end of the year?

I know, but i ment the official release ofcourse  which was canceled and then decided to release it freely.

(Bongoboy) #14

It’s amazing how many people are still playing ET.

I blame Bani.

:moo:

(Grimmy_EFG) #15

Your hate is misguided. You can get ET in a box :stuck_out_tongue:

(Its not free tho, its £5-£10 and you get RTCW GOTY with it too  )

(snypercore) #16

i know this is on ps2 but the new KILLZONE is a fantastic fps and has online capability but im still trying to get my ps2 online so havnt trried it yet but so far i have found the game about as good as ET!!! i have tried multiplayer games offline but ive been told its the same online if this is true i would deffinalty suggest this to anyone

(Henry) #17

splashdamage did quite a very good conecept on coop gameplay. not the usual suckage you see in battlefield or counter strike.

(Nail) #18

i agree, that and 2,000 + pub players and their fansites

(DarkangelUK) #19

I really hope it will have co-op too! Anyway, hurry up with it… and even you’re not making it, still hurry up :eek2:
