Two of my friends received trinkets they did not earn (snowman, lantern) was this part of the compensation or a bug? and I do not mean they did not receive it to make it clear I mean they did not earn them they had only played the time for the coal but not the lantern or the snowman.

Yes. And for some odd reason people that shouldn’t have the snowman now have the snowman, and like 6 free expert cases.
Anything for the general public or even paying players? Nope. LOL!

You experienced a very minor bug in the previous update? Now you get even more free stuff.
Did you experience what was intended? Now you miss out on free stuff.
Doesn’t make that much sense to me. Literally everyone would’ve chosen to wait an extra month or two if they got extra cases alongside their trinkets.

I would even just give up my trinkets to get like 1 or 2 standard equipment cases as I value actual gameplay influencing stuff more than cosmetics.

Yeah I knew I was gonna end up getting the trinkets I was missing I didn’t expect much else was kinda nice I guess don’t really have a problem with it I am mostly concerned with what happened there with my friends. I am curious as to if they created another bug trying to fix the previous one where you did not receive one or two or even all of the trinkets you earned or if something just happened where they just got lucky. kinda similar to the santa’s pack bug where you got double what you paid for (5 elite case A + 5 elite case B x2 100k x2) sometimes it even tripled for other people. Anyways I was just curious as to if this was intentional or not.

Man… only if I got dem bugs, I would probably have gotten Snowman even tho I played like 1 or 2 matches after I got the lantern.
Oh well, they sure deserve snowman trinket because they missed sooooooo much because they didn’t get those trinkets until no.

Looks like it is bugged again, if people are getting more than they should have. The ONLY thing people should be getting is the trinkets they actually earned during the event, as well as the corresponding Expert Cases that match the tiers of trinkets they falsely did not receive.

You dawg we put some bugs in your already existing bugs so that you can start a flame war on forums over it. Just like kids in kindergarten.
On a more serious note, I am very happy that SD is compensating players like this. You don’t see that so often these days. It really feels like they care about their community which is great.

@Xan I completely agree. Anyone who didn’t play the 60 hours should not have the snowman trinket. I don’t particularly care if people got extra cases - big whoopty doo, so they pocketed an extra $10 of free stuff… who cares? The trinket however, is not purchasable. It doesn’t have a monetary price - the price was 60 hours in the designated time. Anyone who didn’t earn it, doesn’t deserve it.
I’m gonna try and ask someone from Nexon/SD about this as soon as possible. Can’t promise any sort of response though… Will try my best, because this freakin’ sucks.

That’s why most software development these days by companies is done in an agile environment using test driven development from the start and it’s divvied up into small chunks of work that are then validated through automated testing as much as possible with follow-up manual testing.
You still get bugs but you get much fewer bugs. I wonder how much automated testing could actually be pulled off or is pulled off in game development though.

As one of the players that earned the Snowman but did not receive it until yesterday, I feel undercompensated by all the people who were compensated in spite of not having earned the trinkets. Pls compensate me some more.
