I'm confused (trinket)

As one of the players that earned the Snowman but did not receive it until yesterday, I feel undercompensated by all the people who were compensated in spite of not having earned the trinkets. Pls compensate me some more.

As a player that got his shit in time I feel neglected and ignored with this compensation.
Please give me 1 free obsidian card for a merc of my choosing and I get to choose what perks and weapons the card has SD to compensate for compensating.

As a person who is never happy with anything, I don’t want my trinkets anymore, I want to turn them into cold hard cash so I can go buy myself a snickers to cool down

It appears I was given the Snowman trinket when I should not have received it, but I earned the coal which I received during the event and also the lantern which I only got yesterday after the compensation thingy. So first off, to make it up to the people who actually earned it I did the following.

Now to you SD, I opened the cases I received yesterday after making a post on these forums, as I did not know why I had 5 random elite cases added into my inventory which before opening I asked if it was a potential glitch that I received them. I opened them after being told that this was all kosher.

Today while in work, @Faraleth messaged me on steam to ask if all the trinkets I received were actually unlocked during the event, after thinking about it as I forgot all about the trinkets from the event, I remembered that I did not actually unlock the warm snowman, at least if the progress bar was anything to go from. Now I only just took the time to read back through the link @RazielWarmonic sent me containing how many cases I should of got and turns out 5 was way to many, I should of only received 1x Elite Case B & 1x Elite Case C for the missing lantern.

So what I am prepared to do is to buy 2x Elite Case A, 1x Elite Case B & 1x Elite Case C and leave in my inventory for you to take out as compensation for the compensation if that is at all possible to do, as I feel bad for not reading everything (seriously my thought process was woop woop free stuff!!! OPEN IT OPEN IT OPEN IT, and I literally just got home from work) and feel like I have taken advantage of SD for opening them.

Anyways I hope we can sort something out.

I dont know how to feel about this. For me it was not easy to obtain the snowman. I barely made it after over 80hours DB and it took a fair chunk of private life I had to actively cut from others. It was a sacrifice and afterwards I felt pretty bad and burn out of the game.

But hey I got some pixels others dont have!

Then people get rewards for the same thing that I did. But I do not.

And then it turns out the sacrifices were for nothing, not even special pixels.

Considering we are speaking about a hobby to provide enjoyment, I have trouble to accept it.

Currently Id just like to tell the responsible people to go fuck themselves. It might not solve the problem but it helps me a little bit.

Two of my friends received trinkets they did not earn (snowman, lantern) was this part of the compensation or a bug? and I do not mean they did not receive it to make it clear I mean they did not earn them they had only played the time for the coal but not the lantern or the snowman.

If they somehow got the Christmas trinkets and it makes them happy, then so be it, I would not mind if my friends, many of whom don’t play DB as much as me randomly got gifts such as that. For the record, I also put in the time to earn all 3 trinkets and barely made it in time, and I understand how annoying the effort going into it was. That being said, it’s a game, they luckily got a cosmetic item that offers no real benefit, there are real bugs and issues that need addressing vs this one.

On another note that parallels this, if you receive mail in the U.S., and say it’s computer parts or something that you never ordered, that is accidentally mailed to you despite being intended for someone else. If it has your address and name, legally it is yours and considered as a gift.

Let’s be real, if most were to have a similar bug happen to them, and somehow get about 5 free elite cases, would they complain? Just curious.

That being said at the time that I had posted this I just wanted to know if it was a known issue but it turns out that it was not.
