Without trading in a bunch of games, I wouldn’t have purchased Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Pretty sure Eidos/Square Enix won’t mind.

Without selling a bunch of games on Amazon, I wouldn’t have pre-ordered Ico/SotC, Gears of War 3, Dark Souls, Skyrim and Battlefield 3. Think any of those publishers are unhappy?

Whether they care to admit it or not, the second hand market does feed the new market. I’ve got rid of a bunch of old games that have directly led to 6 new sales.

My first play of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was a second hand purchase. Enjoyed it so much I purchased Uncharted 2: Among Thieves brand new. So the used market helped the new market - wouldn’t have purchased the first one otherwise.

This isn’t about the new market being hurt, it’s about maximising profit. Something I don’t care about as a consumer. I only care about the product and if it’s worth my money.

On the subject of discussion. People can start discussion threads on pretty much whatever they like. Not your or anyone else’s right to tell them either not to or try and herd them into one thread (honestly, that was just pathetic). Don’t like it, ignore it and it’ll fall away naturally.

I understand you’re being sarcastic, but you’re still enabling these meatheads to continue to complain about this stuff.

I think there is a distinct difference between THIS guy’s thread and some of the honest-to-god garbage other people have posted. And just because you don’t agree, doesn’t mean you can just senselessly attack someone (sounds like an experience I’m going through myself! :D).
You can offer counter-argument or support your disbelief for a claim… But just calling the guy an idiot is rude.

Though, I DO agree, to some extent, that the members who do this ARE slightly egotistical. And I honestly do think that most of them should just fade off and play another game. If they have a message to the developers, and purely them, they should try communicating with them directly or making that OBVIOUS from the start, you know what I mean?

Anyhow - this community needs to dial down on the instant-rage at differing views. -.-

@Sockydoggy : I suggest you stop trying, speaking with walls usually bring you nowhere (beating up walls neither sadly), these guys are so full of themselves it hurts my eyes, and not being able to read a critic show a real lack of empathy and “grown-up” skills. When it’s just “meh I hate SD you all freaktardz” I’m the first one to bash a hater, but this post was a feedback and (as I, for one, never said we all need to stay civil and shizzle) you guyz are just a bunch of morons not understanding that… Just sayin… (infraction incomming, it’s been a while I need more yellow / red cards).

As for the complaint / suggestions stuffs. Many people here suggest stuffs since 3+ years about Brink, Dont go all condescendant and say we dont back up our claims please, you just have no clue about how we feel bout SD with this, as we allways supported them and tryed the best to stay civil and propose stuffs, now they didnt listen, and the game is (apparently) a failure considering the player drops, even if I’ll reckon that there is others parameters for this drop off (e.g. the “new player” concentration and patience ability of a newt), dont come there and say with your almighty voice that the 90% or more that left the game are just shallow and idiotic ragers please, this makes you guyz look like… Well, I wont put another nice word here, but you got my point I hope (but I’m pretty sure you wont anyway…)

To turn this around, i saw one of my 118 steam friends that own brink actually playing it. For BRINK fans that is a good news of 0% to 0.85% leap.
