You can prep a smoke grenade just like a normal grenade. It’ll go off instantly when it lands. Good for covering your escape.

Also, the key to sneaking in as covops on Goldrush is to sit behind the bank and rush the gold immediately when the tank blows it open. Do the above smoke grenade trick towards the largest group of axis and you can usually get away with it. The sucky part is when your luck runs out and you die 3 ft from the truck. Stupid newbie moment: I saw a noob repair the truck when the crate was sitting there untouched for 5 seconds. I never got his name but I swear I would have tk’ed him for the rest of the game for being so mind-numbingly stupid. Newbies will ruin this game, I swear to God.

Speaking of Goldrush, I think the key to brute forcing is holding the alley behind the bank to bleed the gold defenders of reinforcements. If you can interdict any backup, a few panzers should clean it up enough for a quick snatch. That’s just my idea of the ideal way to break in. Mindless waves running into MG’s never seemed like a good idea since eventually all your attackers die while their defense respawns and fortifies again.

I played Covert-Ops for an entire Campaign last night. First time I’ve really played it, and it was great fun!

On GoldRush as Allies, I’d get behind Axis lines defending the bank (by running backwards into them) and shoot them all from behind. They didn’t realise they were being shot from behind so I was getting 5 - 6 kills before they took me out. I got into the bank a couple of times but couldn’t get out with the gold, they had a Medic on their team who could spot me straight away every time, bastard.

Smoke Canisters are dead handy though, pity they don’t go off until a few seconds after you throw them. The FG42 is also a fantastic weapon for 1-on-1. I’ll be playing Cov-Ops a lot more from now on, that’s if my team isn’t already 75% Cov-Ops, which seems to be the case sometimes these days.

Had some gg’s last night. Didn’t get TK’ed once as Cov-Ops, and didn’t get a single complaint filed against me in 3 hours. I was stunned!

Kendle when playing covert ops in goldrush and there are massive campers in the bank try using the smoke grenade on the group in the bank, people wont see ur knifing, satcheling, or shooting (and they’ll be confused)
