Ignorage of specific thread

(schnoog) #1

Hi,
I`m wondering why not a single SD guy was able to respond to the long term thread like this: http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php/26105-linux-server-client

Why not spending 5 minutes to this topic instead of open one poll after the other?

Is Brink just a tax-saving write off project, or why is SD not interessted in offering a long time promised feature, the linux server files?

Why are you still making such a big deal out of this? Realistically why would they now release them to satisfy a player base of under 300?

(Indloon) #3

Yeah,but this could save “300” players then…
(p.s.t: 300 players,uh???)

(.Chris.) #4

I doubt those who are left care much about it, they’ve put up without for past few months.

(schnoog) #5

TBH, if no linux server binaries are planned, at least a short info to the waitung people would be respectfull.
To simply ignore the full thread for months is IMO the worst way. A short statement and all is clear, but to promise something and apparent skip it without even inform the waiting guys is a very bad behavior…

Just my 5 cent

We (my clan and I) have decided on monday to not play Brink because of the very very poor support.
OK, only 13 lost sales… who cares…

Splash Damage has already stated months ago that Linux and SDK are up to Bethesda, what more can they tell you ?

(FireWorks) #7

Can you quote that statement, Nail?

The last SD word on Linux servers was the post of badman confirming them for sometime after release. Since then theres silence on this topic.

(Nail) #8

sorry, it would take some searching, but the post is in here somewhere

the files exist, their release is dependent on Bethesda, but without Steam support for Linux, I doubt we’ll ever see them.
I already gave up my servers, hated to disappoint my sponsors
