If event cases are working as intended and random, then how is it...

I love it when we all come together to raise our pitchforks and torches. Games are all about the community feels.

PS: Fuck RNG.
can somebody explain to me why then, people who have bought 0 boosters have had 2 event case drops, with very little time played?

if its the “nature if chance” or some other bullshit, no, it must be 1 in a billion chance of this, the fact that you could put 300 hours in over the 5 weeks of this event and get nothing because of probability ect ect is, quite frankly, disgusting.
That’s…uhm…how probability works. Each match you have a chance for a case, not an incrementally increasing chance till you get 100% drop.

This thread isn’t about boosters though. I’m talking about how “random” case drops appear to be happening in the first game of each week for an insane amount of people. It’s bollocks. There is no way the drops are random with this many people getting first game of new rotation cases.

i get that, thats why im annoyed theres isnt a system with limits in it.

yeah that’s what makes me so salty, I see posts popping up here and on reddit of people who had a case drop their first match of week 1 and week 2, that’s just doesn’t seem normal to me… I have played 30 hours this week with 5 bossters and still nothing. How bizare

(fandangoOverhaul) #47

Got my first event case drop after 2nd game of week 2

I did that last week. I then gave up and put on 4 more boostes and played another 5 hours. I then gave up again and put on a 10th booster and got my case immediately.

This week, no boosters and I get a case in my first full match.

They have said, though, that drop chances do in fact increase over time. Not to 100% but up to the drop rate of normal cases. Which is exactly what the confusion was about, when boosters didn’t seem to work. It is not just the same chance after every match to get a case .
So yeah, being frustrated about people with less than 3 hours playtime getting case drops left and right is kind of understandable imo …

The word you’re looking for is envy.

(OmaGretel) #51

I could really care less about some ugly Rhino skin or even the credits I have wasted on a few boosters. But I do care about getting lied to by the devs.

And on a sidenote, I also do not care about annoying kids in forums, who have nothing better to do than trying to provoke people with stupid comments. It’s quite pathetic. In the future I will simply ignore those kinds of posts.

(ProxyTheMinesweeper) #52

I’m so upset. I haven’t gotten a case yet and I’ve really been looking for it :frowning:

(Sorotia) #53

I don’t know what to tell you, I played a few games first week with no boosters and didn’t get a case. I bought a few boosters and nothing the whole week…week 2 starts with 4 boosters and I got a case early on…right now I’ve got 3 or 4 boosters and haven’t seen a second case.

RNG is RNG

You sure you been looking in the right place?

(Haki) #55

you guys are mean, talking about event cases dropping on the first game.

I went into it expecting a case and still haven’t gotten one

(Elvisz) #56

This is awesome. 100+ hours, 6 boosters from day one, and not a single suspect case… i must be the unluckiest guy around here…

(OmaGretel) #57

Oh and I thought I was the only one. Pretty much the same here. Boosters working as intended.
Also, have they fixed the event cases dropping only in the first match of the week? Or are people just not posting them on the forums anymore?

(feigenstaub) #58

Yeah I think that playtime raises the drop chance doesn’t work. Only the (10) booster may work as intended but not the thing with playtime :frowning:

Actually I have only 2 Booster since week 2 start / my first and only event card. So I need ~ 24 normal case drops to expect an event case. Now I got over 26 and I think I should get an event case. But I doubt it.
