The other day I had this idea while playing. I’m not sure if its been said before but I think when you get Level 4 Covert ops your satchel should turn the color of the other teams. So when the people on the other team pass it they won’t think anything then you can blast them. What do you think?

it should also be aswell as when u knife someone u shouldnt loose ur descuise no matter where u are, the ememys should read the writing and realise that his teammate wasnt teamkilled
At the same time, he could get the other team’s pistol to carry. So he looks less conspicuous running with it out. (Not like most players can tell the Luger from Colt, though)
You can pick up the other class’s weapons as a covert ops as of the latest patch. Haven’t tried this myself yet as I don’t play covops much anymore, it’s become a bit of useless class except for the odd sniping bout.
its my fav class, but it could be soo much more better if the level 4 cov op was improved, its sooo unrewarding level 4 cov op, even if u want XP a backstab gets u 3 XP but if u snipe them or sten them in the head then u get 5 xp so it aint even worth it
Havnt tried but I think the C-Ops can only pick up weopons what the enemy C-Ops uses.
Giving the cov-ops a dummy gun would be a nice feature, give them a Thompson if they are axis and a MP40 if they are allies. The gun doesn’t need to be functional, just for looks.
Nope. The only change is that you can now grab a sniper-rifle from enemy coverts. This will rarely be useful, as snipers often won’t get close enough together to steal guns, but you never know. It might help to make a disguise more convincing, I suppose.
And anyone would be happy to lose the wimpy garand for a real rifle!
I wonder what happens if an engineer switches rifles… does he get the other shape of grenades?
The grenades change shape, yes, but he retains the ammount of ammo he had - all his rifle grenades will mysteriously change shape.

Why don´t you use satchel. It gives you 5XP to covert opping. So much more useful!
Why don’t you ignore XP and kill them however is safest, preferably not little charge (so that you’ll still be alive with full charge bar, and better able to help your team)?
the whole change-thingy is kinda stupid imho.
cmon, IF the covert disguises, what should make the nades look different?
the nades are still same, so are the weapons, so they should keep looking
the same as before. keeping the disguise i would like to see improved.
when i tried this class last time, it was enough even to touch (NOT USE) an
emplaced mg42 and pooof! your disguise was gone.
changing the satchel? ohhhh please! i know it’s a game, but that doesn’t mean
things are going abnormal. rather i would admire at lvl4 cvops being able
to ‘plant’ the satchel the way an engi plants mines or reducing the beeping
sound of the charge, so enemies will run into the charge without being
warned by this sound…
but chameleon equipment? no way!
Ok, if the covert disguises, why should his skin look different? (Notice what happens when you disguise as an Ally fieldop? Tanning lotion or something!)

Abnormal? Exactly what is normal about clothing that evaporates when you fire a bullet? That ain’t normal!
Face it. Because it’s a game, there is nothing at all realistic about CovertOp’s disguise. Any suggestions made should be evaluated based on how they effect gameplay, not on whether they seem real.
If we wanted it to be realistic, then a disguise would last forever (even after he dies), and he’d get all the guns & grenades of the other team, because he’d just pull them off the body.
assasin is bad but just getting a different coloured satchel is worse. I’d prefer ability to pick up (but not use) the enemy weapons.
Nah, Lev 4 should make the satchel look like a med kit.

Assassin is a nice skill, but imho the thing that really make Cov ops useless is their not so good disguising ability.
Spotting an enemy cov op it’s just too easy, every good player will be fooled once, maybe twice in a game by a cov op running around disguised.
So why don’t give to cov ops lvl 4 the ability to recognize enemy cov ops for his team? (while removing this ability from every other not having this ability or lvl 4 field ops ability)
I was just thinking on something like mine recognition, but applied to enemy disguised cov ops.
Obviusly, cov ops, should lose their uniforms as uses to be now, imho it’s balanced.
Ps. The difference beetween lvl 4 cov ops and lvl 4 field ops will be that field ops recognize enemies for themselves, while cov ops will recognize them for their mates.

Lev 4 Field Ops does recognize enemy coverts for your team. They show up on the map as players with orange circles around them. Its not updated realtime, but atleast you know what to look for and where to search.

i was describing my version in that kind of modification of level 4 cov op 
field ops would only retain the ability to find covert ops for themselves, while the ability to spot them for teammates would be taken by the covert ops.
