Idea for a tank enhancement

Sometimes it can be quite frustrating trying to drive the tank into fuel dump as gunner. How about allowing the alt fire to pop off smoke canisters from a tank as an incentive?

Smoke is way under utilised in ET…

the gunner should have a sheild like on the tanks in BF1942 Road to Rome

it’s so easy to kill the gunner… he’s up there 2 seconds and boom he’s dead

I think the guys health should be linked to the tank. as long as the tank is functional you stay alive. but if the tank is danaged then boom your dead.

Yes, but that’s a problem with the players, not with the game. There are some good pubs out there, but they’re few and far between.

From another topic (list of my proposed Covert Op tweaks)

0 exp for picking up pants
5 Covert Op experience for throwing smoke grenade at important destroyed/unfinished construction, like tank barrier, disabled tank, bridge, assault ramp etc
5 covert op exp for throwing smoke grenade at construction that needs to be destroyed (not ones vulnerable to satchel, not ultimate objectives (which are hard to reach) like fuel dump or gun controls, and not generator, too. Some examples - tank barrier, below bridge for axis at fuel dump, etc.
2 exp for throwing smoke grenade at Mg42 nest served by enemy
