Id like to know what those medals mean!

all those medals you get rewarded in gameplay, do each of them have a meaning? because i cant figure out what there for except just a reward for doing well. do each of them have a meaning? ive noticed they show up at different times also.
does anyone actually know what there all for and if they are each for somthing different and just random.

Above, under the Splash Damage logo, you will notice an option called “search”…
