I guess you stop laying mines then. Let your team take it up with him.[/quote]

You can’t stop laying mines on the radar map, should do what I did and just shoot the guy as he ran towards me and the mines. Dont know why it took so long to kick him. Ah yes that’s right because he was getting rid of all the mines the enemy were glad to have him stay on our team so they would vote no to kicking him.

Only your team votes on kick votes. That’s why you can’t kick players on the other team. If you tell your team that you’re not going to plant anymore mines because some fuck is walking into them, then you might get some action. TKing him is just playing into his hands, cause I bet he’ll complain. Don’t let him have his fun.

The only time an ally engy should disarm mines is if they are either spotted. Placed badly maybe by another team engy or/and if a teamm8s accidentally stood on one. Heal others to help yourself. :>

Im sure many of the regs on SD server can appreciate this as for example, no matter how many times we play Fueldump as Axis if it isn’t me standing on team mines (hug BB) its me planting them either too much or random uneeded places… which tbh, seem good to me at the time. :]

Forgot to mention this was on a server before I installed the latest patch, so voting to kick went through everyone not just teammates. I guess that’s why they’ve done it teammates only now.

It is reasonable to defuse mines when they are blatantly misused. For example, mining anything other than the old city areas on oasis while axis still have the forward spawn is illogical(e.g. mining the tunnel exit and courtyard entrances).

I also vote the all players that consider themselves l33t be banned.

I have to disagree with this, you should put one mine somewhere behind the lower team door on oasis, probably just inside. That way, you can catch a sneaky covert if the allies try to do a sneak plant on you. I admit, its not common on oasis, but if you have two people, on the allies, who can work together, its very possible. And once the dyno is planted, I’ve never seen the axis get back fast enough to stop it.
Having a mine behind the door, either right inside the door, or in one of the doorways just inside that door can stop such sneakyness cold, and alert you to its presence.
Along the same lines, having a couple of mines on top of the roof of the flag building can keep the allies from doing the ever common, get on top and wait for the spawn timer to get to 6 or so, then run down and in. Personally, I like to put 2 mines at the top of the stairs, I get countless kills from those mines, as they are hard to see before you get to them, even with lvl4 BS. Though, the down side of this is that those mines are hard to see before you get to them, so your own team will step on them a few times before they learn to jump from the stairs to the broken wall and then down.
