Ok sorry but i’m lost, what is it proving?
I played Brink at quakecon, some concerns
except if thats special-type nades.
like wall-sticking[proximity-fused?], EW nades and etc.
or its could be “giv’em hell” perk, allowing to toss TWO nades to enemies at once.
p.s.
seems using SMART buttons/function isn’t smart strategy for skilled players with quick fingers.
thats good, IMO.
cuz SMART provide smooth entry for newbies and highlight feats/ways for playing more effective/safer.
How do you know the guy didn’t choose that perk? (I hate calling them perks, dang).
It actually makes sense. Cooking a grenade is a skill you have to learn, do it wrong and you’re dead and study time ends (no magic progress donut in RL).
Well the 3 skills are the ones bound to the d pad. Passive skills that are always active (like cooking nades) that don’t require a button to use, may not count towards your 3. You can choose 3 ACTIVE skills, but I don’t know if it’s 3 total.
Ah that sounds better
I hope what you said is true, cause otherwise I know one perk slot will be filled constantly leaving only 2 extra skills to choose.
Also, ironsight is not an attachment, ever gun has ironsight.
It’s that “iron” thing on top of the gun barrel which you line up with your “sight”.
A scope or laserpointer is an attachment.

lookey here, you use a scope, yea?
a scope is an attachment, yea?
if what you say is true, then an iron sight isn’t an attachment, but you can still use it. yea?
that would, someone else mentioned it, half joking i suppose, make it an ability.
so i countered that, saying iron sight is also an attachment, but a default one.

Ironsight is a position to hold your gun IMO, not any kind of attachment, you can ironsight without the use of a scope iirc.
I may be wrong here tho, i’m not a gun fanboi

Barbarus hic ego sum, quia non intellegor ulli
iron sight is used instead of an attached scope. but it’s used in the same way, so i jokingly said it’s a default attachment… wich is, imo, right.
ironsight is not a position, it’s the iron on top of the gun, wich let’s you aim with.
it’s not that hard to understand you know.
let’s just say it’s a default attachment you have to choose if you don’t want a sight or scope attached.
No need to speak latin to try to prove a point which is partially true…
I havent any problem understanding your POV, I just find it non entirely true. An “attachment” to me is something you add on the gun, “attachment by default” is just paradoxal… either it is on every single rifle on the planet, so to me it is not an attachment, either its not (scope / laser point) etc… and then you can call it an attachment.
Making ironsight an ability is just plain stupid IMO, as almost all the gun seems to have one, its like saying “hey look, I have a X4 zoom on my rifle but cant use it cuz I havent the ability to put my eyes closer to the gun and use it”
If a gun hasnt ironsight then yes, no one could use it, but making an ability out of it is weirdo, same goes for grenade cooking… but well, I guess I raged enough bout all that WoW stuff abilities already…
Peace
What is going on here? Are you guys just snarking each other, or is there real confusion?
I imagine iron sights is the default thing you see when you hit l2 or whatever to aim. If you have a scope, hitting that same button while have you aiming with the scope.
them just giving me a hard time because i said something wich doesn’t quite fit in their way of thinking.
I am just having a hard time understanding you, since you do not attach anything to a gun when you use ironsight. You just put the gun closer to your eye instead of shooting from the hip.
And then you say, that having the ability to not shoot from the hip, aka, using ironsight, is an attachment…
And I am like wtf?
again: someone said that next thing we know, the ironsight would require an ability.
i replied it wouldn’t need an ability because it’s an attachment…
granted, it’s not really an attachment, but it’s on a weapon, meaning it can’t be an ability.

I was thinking you meant that it was an attachment, which in turn would fill one of the slots of how many attachments you can have.
Now I see that you mean we shouldn’t have to worry about ironsight because it can be used by default, or something

is there a maximum of attachments? i thought you were able to have all of the attachments at once
*scratch that, i meant i thought you were able to put one of each kind on your gun
Firing without aiming in a lot of fps games is actually closer to firing from the shoulder, but without looking down the sights/scope. That’s my impression anyway.
