some of my clan mates, now I’m in the Uk and have been on various euro servers today and have experienced the “freezing for a few seconds then everything starts up again” thing.
My clanmates are in California and are experiencing the same thing on west coast servers.
Anybody else getting these, not connection interrupteds (necessarily, but some have had that combined as well) but interruptions during play ?
Interesting… yes, I have been experiencing this today as well. I thought it was just me… guess not though.
Yep, me too. Some mates have been experiencing the same thing in RTCW as well. I suspect it’s PunkBuster related. One of my Clan-mates came up with the following suggestion, which seems to have cured it for me.
Create a file called pbcl.cfg and save it to the pb folder.
pb_MsgPrefix [skipnotify]"^5PunkBuster Client" //[PB Message Prefix (default=^5PunkBuster Client)]
pb_Sleep 500 //[# of Milliseconds (default=250)]
pb_LogToFile 0 //[0=No, 1=Yes (default=0)]

Yeah we noticed PB was kicking the odd player from our server for any old reason usually after one of these “time attacks”, so it most likely a PB thang, either that or something is trying to force it’s way into our dimension.
With reagrd the lines of code above, if it keeps up I’ll try that but I’ll wait and see.
