Tbh, aside from the mechanical aspect of a keyboard, the most important feature is for multiple keystrokes to be allowed (anti ghosting?)… i remember trying to play etqw on a standard DELL keyboard and i couldn’t talk on TS while trying to move in the game, because the keyboard wouldn’t allow that many key presses :o

But if any of you have the opportunity of getting a mechanical keyboard, go for it… the keys are so light to press down, and give a strange kinda reassuring feedback that you pressed the key down… just general typing is quicker and easier as well - just be careful as to how loud the key presses are before you buy (depending on which switches you get) as they can be annoying for everyone else .

IDD; I got me the cm storm quickfire red, best switches fastest repsonse time cause of ps/2 which also enables full n-key rollover <3 AND, it doesn’t have that annoying numpad but well that is personal preference.

I didnt buy my mechanical for gaming (i dont game much) i bought it for typing and working. I KNOW the keys are going to respond every time i press them. I have to use domes at uni and even the brand new ones feel muddy and un responsive compared.
And razer, yeah nah. Dont touch that stuff, had my share of those. Logitech or steelseries!

Hmm i have a fair share of my peripherals being razer, and im not too sure why people hate on them so much… i mean i’ve been completely satisfied with the build quality from what i use… i mean i don’t consider them to be in a different league of gaming equipment that no other companies can match and equally i can’t say other companies have produced far superior equipment in the same price range, if anything i’ve tried steelseries/corsair/logitech/roccat peripherals (mice/headsets/pads mostly) and for me i prefer the razer equivalents.
