I need some help with my ET

ok heres my problem, like if im running and shooting at someone even after i kill the enemy or whatever and let go of the keys my guy will keep running and shooting for quite a few seconds, i have reinstalled twice and got rid of all my old profiles and it still does it. anyone got any suggestions whyor how to make it stop! :banghead: thx

Try creating your own server, and testing for the same thing there. That way you’ll know if it is a connection problem or something else.
You say your character keeps running/shooting after you let go, Is there a delay before he starts moving?

Theres no delay he just keeps running and shooting for a bit after i stop pressing keys

Same problem over here, like keyboard mouse buffer is overflowing (with pc speaker noise too).

Tried different keyboard (ps2) and different mouse (usb). Disabled all sticky accessability shortcuts.

Problem occures with ET, with half-life, no problem with battlefield 1942 or non-game usage.

Reinstalled et for the third time in a desperate attempt. Before that installed the newest nvidia drivers and intellipoint 5.0, reassinged the wheelbuton to autoscroll . Guess what, all works fine now, this puzzles me, because I don’t know what was wrong and how I fixed it. Solved two problems now (key/mouse buffer overflow / newest nvida drivers) ??? Only thing I have to try is halflife… :bash: :???:

i had this problem too, the wierd thing is, that i overclocked, and it went away O_o

Now you mention it, I forgot to mention that I flashed the bios too and accidentally left the fsb on 100 instead of 133, perhaps we are on to something here.

the only time something like this has happened for me was when I didn’t realise that my gf was still logged in and was still running direct connect, so prehaps it could be some sort of overflow of the input when your PC is pegged out and at it’s limits ???
