i think i may got it but im not going to do it until i get confimation.
do i put the [level] stats in the shrubbot.cfg which is located in the folder shrubet, and put the [admin] stats in the shrubbot.cfg which is located in the etmain folder?

Have you got the “g_shrubbot shrubbot.cfg” command written in your server cfg ?

(EB) #5

OK, did you overwrite the main driver files for ET or did you create the seperate directory for installation ? Your server will crash less if you overwrite the main driver files…I do not know why, but it is true: I had tested it time and time again (on 6 servers).

I will say that the shrubbot.cfg file goes into ETMAIN, the server.cfg should read what Englander told you… set g_shrubbot “shrubbot.cfg” .

Open your console (~ key) and type in \rconpassword YOURSERVER’SRCONPASSWORD
then: \rconaddress YOURSERVER’SIPADDRESS but without port #
then : \players -----this is to find your #…read on

find the number that corresponds with your name then :
\rcon setlevel YOURNUMBER YOURLEVEL

If you have the !setlevel command prompt within your level(which only a 1 or 2 people should have) then you can do the rest from in-game chat.
—>>> !setlevel Englander 5

If you like, I can send you an example server.cfg with most of the shrub settings in use, you can change the variables for your own use. Just so you can understand it a little better if you are green to it.

Otherwise , the net_angels explain a good amount : CLICK HERE

I run shrubet in its own directory. :suspicious:
