will there be anychance of server files or will it be like the bf2 series our clan is eagerly waiting for this title to hit the ground, we looking at several diffent servers so any news on this topic for me can’t come quick enough :evil: thanks in advance .

How do you mean, “serverfiles”? As in custom assets or mods?

know m8 server files are needed to run dedicated servers something ex ghost recon ad fightrers will know all about without them we’ll nned the full game and a gfx card to run it…

Now I get it, you are talking about a separate Dedicated Server installation.

I’m not too sure about this.
It might turn out that you need the full game to install it. (though maybe without the key) On a positive note, dedicated servers from D3 engines only need a console window, so you probably won’t need a graphics card at all to host such a server.

dunno what your talkin about …i ain’t a well groomed english lad i’m from lets say one of the more uneducated area’s of the country. i’m actually surprised i found this site at all,installing games if only i knew how too,and i have serious trouble tying my shoelaces i now use dunlop wish they were something!!! better velcrow trainers that way they don’t fall off my foots my speallinh is terriblres my memory omg you don’t know anyway thats 3 pizza’s extra musrooms and a can of stella lease. :stuck_out_tongue:

there will be a dedicated server istallation. you have to install a minimum of the game like in Quake 3 or W:ET to run a game.

i asked this question to Paul on a Interview which will be online in the next few days!

Q3 and ET don’t have a specific dedicated server package. You install the whole game. However, there is a dedicated server executable that doesn’t require any graphics capability (and in the case of linux, just has a terminal interface).
