Can’t take it anymore, FPS is just making me having a hard time. COD OP3 is even smoother than Dirty Bomb. Time to take a long break.
I know it's a question many asked a while ago, but please, is Dirty Bomb dying?
Honestly if ever anything keeps frustrating some one to the point of anger. It is often a good idea to take a break from it and do something that puts a smile on your face. life is just too short.
jesus this thread is huge. Separate it by chapters so in the end we can publsh a book
This game is the most enjoyable FPS I have ever played. However, the development got so slow, that it just doesnt cut it anymore.
It is in Beta, and one would expect lots of changes to make the game better. We all know that those changes are coming, but the speed with which they are delivering, is just not good enough.
I play with streamers and friends and as long as they keep playing, I will. But we all pretty much cut our playtime in half. And the reason is simple. We play the game, because we love it. But we play less, because of all the wrongs this game has. Feedback on it was spoken so much about, that it would be like beating a dead horse.
I dont see this game dying, yet. But it needs to finish things that are much needed. Like art pass, MM, crafting, new map, rest of the mercs and other things that they said they are working on. And it needs to be done fast. Not a year in future fast, not half a year in future fast. FAST. SOON. And a release. Marketing, get in more people. And make ton of more skins to earn money with. People would go nuts over skins. Cosmetics are what makes f2p games profitable.
Honestly, speed of development is worrying and not just me, but pretty much everyone I ask. Though there are lots of positives too. So its not all doom. And in all seriousness, if devs are having hard time to speed up, maybe the management should take into consideration hiring more manpower to handle the game.
The game cannot die.

Paul Wedgwood is the CEO of Splash Damage (Developer), the Executive Chairman of Fireteam (Technology Provider), and is also CEO of Warchest Games (Publisher). It’s a closed loop. A game can only be “killed” if one of the three decides to down-vote or shutdown the game. In this case, all three are led by the same leader - who probably advocates keeping the game open.
-
Leyou Chicken Money means financial pressure on Dirty Bomb or Splash Damage can probably only occur if there is also a collapse in Chicken Meat consumption worldwide. Can you imagine a world where people stop eating chicken?
So no… I think Dirty Bomb will possibly be open forever.
