I hope whoever made Jaymod chokes to death.

I think the title says it all but I’m so tired of joining servers with “jaymod” “jayclient” nonsense and having the game crash on me every single time. Because Shrub and ETPro weren’t good enough, we need the most ridiculous mod ever.

It seems like most of the servers I see are Jaymod and whatever and I can never get in and when I do I don’t feel it plays right at all. Does anybody else feel the same way? I’m just feeling very bitter and annoyed by it, but I really needed to express my hatred for it, and it’s creator.

sigh. Oh well, anybody else feel we really needed Jaymod to make our lives better? Or am I just being unreasonable?

side note… I hate servers that don’t allow meds to give themselves healthpacks. Sure, other medic packs work but not yours. “Yes, after years of consuming your own healthpacks, you’ve become immune! Even though your packs have the same stuff that other medics have, your DNA has mutated to block your own packs!” Why not just steal medpacks from another medic? Boom… problem solved.

Do what I did: Set up your own server and stop bitching… If you grow tired of managed hosts, then rent your own machine, manage it yourself, and stop bitching… If you hate the mods out there, do what I did: Help make your own mod and stop bitching.

After reading half your post with comments like “I hope whoever made Jaymod chokes to death” or “nonsense” or “ridiculous mod ever”. I couldn’t give a fuck what you think or not. That’s just insulting to the guy who made the mod and quite frankly totally out of line. Get ASE, filter out everything but etmain, have fun.

Well I had my own machine, and managed it myself and it was fine I just didn’t have the money to support it. So been there, done that.

All I’m saying is I don’t play ET as often as I’d like because most servers have jaymod which consistantly crashes my client, and if it gets a bit further, the game will play for a second or two then go back to the server list. It’s just frustrating. I’m all for and supporting the mod community (as most of us now likely wouldn’t be playing ET without the continued support from the mod and map communities) but it would be good if it worked.

But beyond that, let’s take everything I said seriously. That’s how we’ll go about doing this. Anybody who’s seen my posts here know they should be taken with a grain of salt. They’re mostly in fun while expressing my frustration. This is simply one mod I’m not a fan of due to my apparent incompatability with it and needed to vent.

AmazinGLarrY: If those jaymod servers are populated, then clearly not everyone has that problem. If you cared to, you might be able to track down what your specific problem was, and fix it, or report it to the author. You could also use a server browser that lets you filter by mod. If you insist on using the ingame browser, you could start with etpro, which at least lets you filter out non-etpro servers.

wow, i wasnt logged in when iread ur post, adn very few posts actually make me log in to reply… but i must say i am completely dumbfounded on how u can hate the maker of a completely optional mod, b/c it gives you some crap (which can be avoided). Shame on you.
