you never notice an incompetent engineer more than in a small server, where each player becomes more vitally important. if you don’t know the freaking map, don’t play an engineer! cuz the decision of the game rests on their shoulders for many maps.
So I was playing Stopwatch Goldrush and I was on the Allied (match was about 6 vs 6). At the start, we have 2 eng’s on our team doing dick all on the team, so I switch over, and repair the tank on my first spawn. Then the bank blows, no one seems to want the gold and they were more interested in playing destroy/rebuild Truck Barriers with the Axis. I eventually got both Gold crates by myself with a lot of sneaking and deception and a few well placed rifle grenade and Thompson kills.
I was a medic at this point, and I was calling an eng to repair the Truck, while I was killing the Axis near the Truck, so we could escape with the gold. Again, the 2 eng’s on our team are still doing dick all playing rebuild/destroy truck barrier again. :banghead: what’s worse is that it was at Truck Barrier 2 they were focused on.
i was gonna change back to Eng and do the job myself, but a clan practice was about to commence and we all got booted from the server.
