I make a post requiring tech help on this forum and get absolutley no response.

I later make a comment about how disappointed i am with this game and right away someone from SD comes on my thread tells me to shut up and locks it.

Kinda shows where your priorities are SD.

Damage control

Tech Support

when you alienate your customers like that it hurts your sales, as I’m going to tell everyone about my horrible experience with this game, and hopefully they’ll tell others etc.

see how this works

next time don’t spit on your customers for being angry with a product that YOU released broken.

I have something to add…

This forum is mostly community supported, and occasionally we get a heads-up from someone on the staff. This is not a ticketed support system.

The staff covers people of different roles, there are even select few who’s sole purpose is to keep these boards clean, and don’t actually “work” at SD. The actual developers, spend more time developing then board-whoring. That said, the people who’s job is to keep the board clean are going to be around here a lot more than the actual developers.

They’ve said many times they check the boards out, but they are not going to be replying to everything. That would require sitting on the boards at least 8 hours a day. They don’t go to the office everyday to just stare at the forums.

I believe your problems in particular have been mentioned before, and are common to a group of people. They are probably being worked on. Also, if they have been posted before, then you probably should have added to their thread instead of creating a new one.

sorry that doesn’t excuse this kind of behavior

to ignore my legit tech posts twice and only respond to (and lock my thread) that showed my frustration,
shows that this company is only trying to save face in an otherwise disastrous launch,

to ignore tech posts and only lock out complaint posts (yes i’ll say it again) shows that at this point they’re only interested in damage control (to maintain sales) rather than addressing the problems that the community actually has.

making promises of free dlc doesn’t solve problems

EVEN MUSHROOMS THAT ARE KEPT IN THE DARK ARE FREQUENTLY FED S H I T

AT LEAST GIVE US SOMETHING!

don’t ignore the issue

make a statement showing that you know all the issues and are addressing them, and to be patient

telling me to update my drivers…IS THAT A JOKE?

The person that told you to update your drivers is just another forum user. So don’t bitch at SD for that. And why don’t you tell him that to his face, instead of speaking around his back on another thread. Pretty ungrateful to someone who was just trying to help you…

S/D’s PRESS RELEASE WHILE ACKNOWLEDGING THE PROBLEMS ONLY OFFERED A DRIVER UPDATE TO BUGGED USERS SO I GUESS YOU DIDN’T READ IT THEN!?
(no-one on this forum would be dumb enough at this point to offer that as a fix as any competant pc gamer knows to check that first)

this was said by Paul wedgewood the day after launch , so don’t tell me where i’m getting my info from.
you obviously didn’t read any of my past threads before you came on here to attack me for wanting a little bit of support , I WAS ON BETHESDA SUPPORT FORUM AND MY BUG ISSUES WERE IGNORED BY THEM AS WELL.

To assume just because the mods here aren’t s/d employees that they have NOTHING to do with the company is just naive thinking (and i’ll bet they are s/d staff anyway)

I know my issues may have been addressed in another thread perhaps but I’m not taking the time to read every one of them being as how with the problems on this game that would take a coule of weeks.

To posts nothing on a legitimate tech help request but to take the time to lock a complaint thread from the same person just shows where the priorities lie.

My issue is basically the way SD employee/forum rep treats people

take the time to lock a complaint thread and yet ignore the threads requesting help
wouldn’t it be best to work the other way around?

so what exactly is this forum for then?

I’m afraid that after having been basically shut down by SD that i’ve already uninstalled from steam and will be careful to avoid any titles from SD or bethesda from now on.

I have over 400 titles on Steam and had the exact specs that this game required (not posting them again)
and have never seen a game this buggy at launch.

The people at S/D should be humbled at this point, and act beholden to the people who bought this game,
not silence anyone who may complain after being ignored by them on a legitamate tech complaint .(numerous ones actually)

the press release they made said they’re aware of some problems with ati and nvidia users and suggest that people UPDATE DRIVERS? (at this point saying this is an insult to PC gamers)

I read everything you said you just don’t like the responses you get.
and i read everything in the press release from S/D and found it to be contrived BS meant to appear as if they have things well in hand when in reality this game is soooo broken that it will take a long time and alot of patching to fix. so appease people by telling them… FRE DLC FREE DLC!
thats the equivilant to :

oh and i created this thread here for a reason

because the tech help forum (suprisingly for some reason I don’t know why) is the only one on this site getting any traffic…wonder why that is?

as i said s/d employees or forum reps doesnt make a difference to me an ass is an ass

you sound like someone who will keep posting here to defend this company from attacks from someone like me who has legitimate gripes

people like you who defend publishers and devs who conduct business this way , and harp on me for posting legitimate complaints are killing the gaming industry (the fact that you don’t like WHERE i’m posting is just a cover up for the fact you don’t like WHAT i’m posting)

i’m NOT trying to make the community a replacement for an s/d employee i’m trying to point out that mods chosen by s/d for this forum (probably employee anyway) should conduct themselves better

also my complaint (call it a rant or rage if you will because at this point after having this unprecadented an experience with this game its justified) is legitimate in any forum on this game i post it in if mods/ devs ignore everyone in every forum anyway (yes even in the proper channels which ive tried)

ITS CALLED DESPERATION FOR SPENDING 50$ FOR A GAME THAT I CAN’T PLAY!

If you’d like to speak to someone about technical issues you’re having with Brink, please refer to the customer support section in the back of the manual, which offers up several avenues for getting official Brink support.

I find it funny that people make assumptions that just because SD doesn’t respond to every post, they either a) don’t care, or b) aren’t working on a solution.

Especially because of people who think:

Which results in numerous posts all complaining about the same issue. I’m sometimes amazed by the people who post about an issue when there’s already a thread multiple pages long about that very issue on the front page. You wouldn’t even need to use search for that. That search feature would also have insured that it would not have taken 5 minutes, let alone a couple weeks to find other posts regarding the same issue you’re having. Should SD spend their time posting “We know of this issue, we’re working on a resolution.” on every single post where the OP was too lazy to search the forums to see if someone else is having the same issue? I’d rather see them working on making fixes than wasting their time on the forums trying to calm down people who obviously don’t have any interest in calming down. They can’t run the game, thus it must be broken for most people too, and if they don’t get personal attention they’ll whine and whine and act like a baby until someone offers them a pacifier. It’s unfortunate the game’s not working for you. For most, it is working. They’ve already released a couple patches since launch just over a week ago. Things are getting fixed, and pretty quickly to boot. I’ve played buggier games with far worse launches which have taken much longer to get fixed.

My replies are to what you post here, in the wrong place. I’m not registered on the bethesda forum and I don’t know what you posted there, nor care. I’m replying to what is said here. Your “reason” which you claim is the tech section gets more traffic, is wrong.

Emailed Bethesda tech the other day with all the same issues, no reply 3 days later. How do you explain that PR man? How about instead of feeding us **** to keep us distracted while you leg it with our money, you ring up the departments working on the fix now (most likely tomorrow though, I highly doubt SD work past 5 or even past 3 at the rate this update is going) and you type out what they say to you. Ok? :slight_smile:
