I DEFINITLEY think MODDERS/HACKERS are on brink already

(Jess Alon) #21

It was a full match. And I don’t think a bot is going to be named something like DiDUrMom9830 or something like that. I do know how to look at the scoreboard and press RB to see how many real people are on the other team.

And I guess a bot explained to me how he was hacking on chat.
That’s no hax.

I’m talking six in a row and then a wait before they run into the other team again.

(coolstory) #23

op sounds butt hurt

(Kurushi) #24

Sorry if I’ve got this wrong OP but weren’t you the one calling people out the other week for cheating on Live? Apologises if I’m getting mixed up, but the same response applies, you have to give them benefit of the doubt without proof

(SockDog) #25

You can’t run unsigned code on an unmodified xbox 360

That’s the end of the subject. There are no aimbots on xbox.

If you see a torrent offering such, guess what that .exe is going to hold? TIP: not an aimbot.

Honestly makes me sad the level of ignorance and paranoia that supersedes simply logic.

Edit: and if people are simply using cvars via save files to gain an advantage then you need to report that to SD. I have no idea why they and other devs leave the cvars open to that abuse on every fricken game they release.

(General Techniq) #26

Yeah, I have no knowledge of anyone doing anything like that in Brink, though I haven’t tried checking around about it either. I was just giving some examples.

Point? It’s still a video of Brink on the PC, no matter what the tags say.
First off. You have to DL it via torrent. And I’m not going to explain to you how to cheat.

Most definitely there are aimbots on xbox. I’ve had users admit to me they were using aimbots and I switched to a different match and reported them and at least one of them has been banned. They told me which torrent site to get it from and what name to type in. Just because you don’t see it on the first page of google doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Also the second time I met someone using aimbot I switched to spectator. It was odd to me how the player in question never had to reload and basically had an infinite clip for some reason. I thought it was a glitch so I switched around and watched other people and then came back to him. Not a single reload for 5 minutes while he was shooting people in succession above, behind, below, next to and all around him in rapid succession. I then rejoined the match on his side and asked him to explain to me how an aimbot works. And what I described before is what he told me. There is a version 1.1 and a version 1.4 and they have slightly different features. He was using 1.1 which was auto headshots, infinite clip, and some kind of ridiculous grenade damage mod for the GLs.

Some signs that you’re against hackers. A lobster round explodes near you and instantly downs you even if you’re a heavy with command post buff and 2 upgraded health command posts, battle hardened AND just self medic buffed. I don’t mean knock down I mean instant from max possible to 0 from one small explosion.

Or seeing 6 barnett headshot kills in 35 seconds pretty consistently by the same player.

Why would I lie about it? I like the game and I hate cheaters.

I haven’t seen any XBOX aimbot videos on youtube YET. But there’s already a PC aimbot in effect as well. And people are putting videos of it up.

I don’t really know what to tell you dude but they are out there.
Besides the actual torrent download, everything you said still makes it sound like you are butt hurt.
I’m not asking for you to tell ME how to find these cheats… what I am saying is, IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO DOWNLOAD THE CHEATS, TELL SOMEONE.
Did you actually explain the torrent download to the person you reported the cheat to? If so, good job! But just saying that someone cheats isn’t going to help bust anything.

(peteXnasty) #29

Honestly considering how much is stored client side an aimbot that gets around security would not surprise me

(Achtung) #30

Name a name. Be ballzy bout it. Call em out and others can verify or… nay…

(SockDog) #31

All code has to be signed otherwise the 360 OS won’t run it.

He did in his last weak thread on this exact same subject and got shown to be talking from the south mouth and told to use the Xbox Live reporting system before the thread was closed.

(coolstory) #32

I like how they know someones using an aimbot without 1 person spectate. Syke

(GreasedScotsman) #33

Okay, so… first off… no “naming names” on these forums. There is a process in place in which you can report suspected cheaters. Use it. Naming and shaming is not acceptable here.

Second, Brink does not offer 1st person spectating features yet, therefore any and all claims of “seeing” hacking are moot as you cannot, in any way shape or form, make a determination on someone’s hacking status based off of a third person shoulder camera. And even with 1st person spectating or demo features, it’s still very hard to separate the good players from the aim bots. In fact, it usually takes league admins with months of expertise under their belts to be able to spot a true offender. My guess is that no one in this thread has this background.

In short, use the proper channels to report a suspected cheater to Bethesda/SD and leave it at that.

Then this thread is moot. Why didn’t you lock it? And if you were referring to me as far as naming names… I just made up an example name for how I knew it wasn’t a bot.

(St NickelStew) #35

Aren’t the PC gamers in this discussion such perfect gentlemen.

(AnthonyDa) #36

If you see somebody having 100% headshot frags (there is an icon for that) and who gets a frags every 5 sec, then you can easily claim for a hax, nublet :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow,why not just tell people they don’t know what the f…k they’re on about why dont you,

(Apoc) #38

Only seen one hacker in brink (PC), in the ESL brink championship qualifiers, the big clue was that when checking the ESL wirelogs of the match and his previous matches, it showed he logged in, then logged out 1 minute later, then played the game.

Another clue was that he didnt strafe shoot, and instead stood still infront of a doorway and headshotted our entire team with a single clip of the richie xD

Funnily enough we still won, but was made much harder creating tactics on the fly to counter an aimbot, namely, call his position and nadeshoot him out of the game.

(thesuzukimethod) #39

ahh, sweet sweet justice. nice!

(REDL34D3R) #40

We already know hes complaining about SuperHappyFunTime like he did in that last thread. All I got to say is that if you are having a SuperAngrySadTime because of a loss then you should try finding consistent players and practice instead of moaning about how you got beat up in a pick up game.
