HUGE performance issues since last patch- game nearly unplayable

try set HUD alpha to 0, you’ll lose HUD and crosshair, but check for stability

can always use Mumble xhair

I keep seeing people in the dev stream chat saying that the game has a memory leak because it slows down on them after a bit once they get into game. I’d like to reiterate that it’s quite possibly a heat issue with your hardware instead of a memory leak. As I said above get Open Hardware Monitor (it’s free and doesn’t have spyware like some other applications) and monitor the heat of your CPU and GPU. Most likely if it’s a heat problem it’s with your CPU.

I dont think its heat issue(then again i dont have memory leak) my laptop hits about 89C in the recent days because of goddamned heatwave n shit and i never had performance drop… Except the usual fps drop to 10-20fps for 2-3 sec randomly !

Td:lr - Its not heat issue…But it doesnt hurt to check. Some people might be losing perf because of heat !

Also the menu ui is crap and unoptimized (scaleform ui pl0x?)

89C is pretty hot even for a desktop processor. If my laptop’s CPU rises to above 75c the CPU clockspeed is immediately dropped to 2ghz instead of the normal 3.4ghz. And it will constantly flip between the two causing me have a ton of frame drop for a while then go back (this happened a lot in WoW when I used my laptop for it occasionally). So unless you have that safety feature disabled (not something that is usually an option on laptops) I’m not sure how you can be running at such hot temps on a laptop without Speedstep pitching a fit. Unless you’re on AMD hardware which I am not as familiar with. I have a somewhat beefy (for a laptop) Sandy Bridge i7.
