HP vs SPEED BALANCED?

the difference between pubs and comps is in a pub u just cant rely on the team so there must be an awareness that if a certain merc just cant kill “without teamwork” then that is just not going to work - in pubs

so you might say - play comps! but there will be no comps if pubs fail and there are no players for comp teams to draw from. pubs are where the new go to learn. its where comp players go to recruit and muck around between comps.

Trying to pretend all u need for the game to succeed is to pander to the elitist comp world and be divorced from pub dynamics is disingenuous

I have the basically the same problem just switched. I play Skyhammer with his weak as a peagun M4. Proxys soemtimes just move at a speed that the even become blured and just dash trough full auto fire. it really anyoign when you try to kill someone moving at duckhunt level 100 speed spamming you to death with a SMG that apparently is more effective than a weapon chambered in 5,56 Nato ammo.

I agree, not getting shot > getting shot. :stuck_out_tongue:

i totally understand that, but there is no way to outplay him other than running away and sometimes you just can’t do that. […] some deaths just FEEL unfair, and people hate unfair games, that’s why pay to win is hated sooooo much[/quote]
You’re right, sometimes there is no way to ‘outplay’ the Fragger you just came around a corner into, because by the time you put yourself in danger you’re already paying the toll of the misplay you made by ending up there.

Of course there is no way to account for every possible outcome though. So what does that mean? Well it means sometimes you’re going to come around a corner looking down the barrel of Fragger’s LMG and that’s a shame… But it’s not a reason to nerf the game so that every character can 1v1 each other character in every scenario.

Also I think jumbling in Pay-to-Win is just confusing your point here. Avoid buzzwords for the sake of buzzwords.

Yup. A proxy that comes around the corner and decides to engage a Fragger head-on is probably going to die even if you have the best aim and their aim is simply average. That’s kind of the meta-game in a nutshell right there and has nothing to do with pay2win.

This is why I keep telling people that SMG proxies setups are incredibly good and instead of directly engaging people you flank. A flanking Proxy is so damn good and not only are they effective but they really make an opponent scared in some areas because they don’t know where/when a fast moving proxy will simply show up. I feel like I’m terrorizing people, especially Fraggers, when I flank with Proxy. But she does suck in head to heads so I try to stick towards the back of a moving pack despite her ability to the first on the scene.

Actually I find shotgun proxies to be better for flanking because people die before they have a chance to turn around. Alternatively the MP is practically as good as the SMG she would carry otherwise.

I have no problem taking out Fraggers up close as long as they’re not entirely focused on me as Proxy. With her raw slaying power and her ability to drop mines in groups of enemies and get Quads for days, she’s probably my best slayer merc.

yup, SMG proxy is flanking beast. That RoF and Acc, even if you don’t get anyone killed, the aimpunch alone will screw with your opponent hard.
