How do you add commands to a server that you have made??i wanna know…so my clan members can come to my server and hang out…pls help
oh yea, i have the shrubbot.cfg in my et/main what next?
howu add commands?
Shrubbot on etpub only supports some built-in commands. The only thing you can do is choose which ‘level’ of players gets what commands.
Your clan’s players then all get assigned a level.
For info on setting the shrubbot settings, see http://etpub.org/ETPubServerDocs.html#shrubbot
If you really want to make your own commands, look for the etadmin tools. (Perl scripts ran on the game server)
Etpro has also recently introduced server side scripting using lua. It is currently in beta http://wolfwiki.anime.net/index.php/ETPro:Lua_Mod_API
hey thanks for help…just oen more question…i try to do " !help ", but it says i dont have the sufficiency to use the commands…i typed . and help plz???
Try:
- Put shrubbot file in mod folder (etpub/shrub/jaymod or w/e)
- /rcon password g_shrubbot name_of_the_shrubbot_file
- /rcon password !setlevel yourself the level you want
yea, i did all of that…but it still says i dont have the privilages to use the command, even if i type !help :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
You probably need to edit the shrubbot file so a level 5 admin can do all commands. (If you actually want to use level 5 as “ultimate admin”)
ok this is my shrubbot.cfg
[level]
level = 0
flags = ahCui
name = Player
[level]
level = 1
flags = ahCuikcB
name = Player
[level]
level = 2
flags = ahCuikcBbm
name = Player
[level]
level = 3
flags = ahCuikcBbmrSwpn
name = Player
[level]
level = 4
flags = ahCuikcBbmrSwpnHvNLlK
name = Player
[level]
level = 5
flags = abcdGhklLikmnNprvsHBSwCu
name = Player
[admin]
name = Player
guid =(my guid here)
level = 5
flags = abcdGhklLikmnNprvsHBSwCu
anything wrong???
And using this scripting system I’m putting together a Shrubbot for ETPro.

it used to be nice knowing you could join an etpro server and not have to deal with !revive, !fling, !lol, !shake, or whatever other crap shrub servers are famous for
Blame the admin of such a server.
We had etpub on our server, but we strictly watched the use of those commands, and most couldn’t even execute half of them.
If your server is adminned by kiddies… Good luck.
I understand that it’s an admin prob, but like I said, at least with etpro you didn’t have to worry, 'cause those commands weren’t available at all
luckily i can (and do) add “if etadmin_mod ~== “ver*” remove” to my ASE filter. god willing, i’ll be able to do the same with any new similar mods.
i can’t stand the goofy features these mods bring to games. it’s the same in CS with mani_mod, etc. horrible, evil things.
oh and i’ve never seen an etadmin_mod server that didn’t lag. i even did a blind test (of sorts), where i removed my etadmin_mod filter, set cg_draw2d to 0 (so i wouldn’t see the giveaway mod messages), and connected to ten random servers for a couple minutes each. i just ran around, didn’t play seriously. the point was to see if i could “feel” the presence of etadmin_mod.
the verdict? i thought i “felt” (smelled?) etadmin_mod on 7 of them, not on the other 3 (those numbers are frightening in themselves).
i was right every time. hardly a scientific test i’ll grant you. but it confirmed what i already knew in my bones :moo:
