How to run a program in background

I really need to know how to run a program like azureus in the background without it having to be minimized or on the system tray. I can’t get anything dl’d fast because my sister keeps turning it off. It would help me alot if anyone knew how, thanks.

ask her not to turn things off ?
password protect your comp or use seperate accounts is another way
or buy your music/apps

you should create another account for your sister, without Administrative rights, so she can’t terminate a process started by you, the Administrator.

A faster solution would be hiding the Azureus icon from the systray. Right click the systray and click “Customize notifications…” (or whatever it’s called in english). Then find the Azureus icon in the list and set it to “Always hide”.
Unless your sister messes with the Task Manager or presses the << button in the systray, Azureus will keep running unnoticed.

I’d go for the first technique. “Security” doesn’t exist when it consists of obscuring things.
