How do I start a fireteam? And What do you go about getting a server set up for ET with Team Speak?

To set up a Fireteam you need a key bound to the Fireteam Admin menu:- bind x “mp_fireteamadmin”. Pressing this key will then display a menu from which you can do all sorts of things, like create a Fireteam, disband an existing one you’ve created, invite players to join your Fireteam or apply to join someone elses, etc.

What do you mean by “a server set up for ET with Teamspeak”? Teamspeak is a separate application requiring it’s own server (it may be a process on the ET server or some other server elsewhere). No idea how to set one up personally, but maybe the Teamspeak website would be a better place to look.

I think the default key for the fireteam menu is KP_enter.
To set up a teamspeak server, download the server version of your teamspeak program (ts, ventrilo,…)

Well more importantly, which alot of ‘n00bs’ forget to do, is that if you try to run Teamspeak on your own computer, and use that as a host for yourself and others to connect to, you will need to download both the server and client versions of the software from the aforementioned site. Then connect to your own server by entering the correct details: - most importantly i.p. address (given by right clicking on the task bar icon of your server).

This will give you a basic setup for yourself and your gaming buddies to enjoy. If however you want to setup passwords, server admins, separate ts rooms etc. then attempt to use their awful FAQ :confused:
