How to get rid of carryover scores

(TAngelo) #1

Does anyone know how? I always seem to have it, and where at first I didn’t really mind it does kinda mess up the scores (well, other people are also bound to have it but still) and it’s tiresome to get comments on it from people in the general chat. Those comments are generally just little jokes about the number of kills or deaths you have, but at any rate it’s kinda embarrassing. Is there a console command I could use to clear the scores? And if so, when exactly should I use it?

yeah its annoying and the only way i know to get rid of the carryover stats is to join the specs and then rejoin the game.

I never had it myself, but got the impression it’s the slow loaders that get it.

Load time can be reduced by:

  • setting a fixed size for the swap file
  • getting more RAM
  • setting com_hunkmegs

I get it rarely but it usually happens to me when i play on stopwatch servers.

I dont think its really happended to me that often, but i dont see how it could bug me?

Do you mean when your time on server is something stupid like 25938 or something like that?

Yeah, and you have a hundred kills and a hundred deaths and top fragger & TKer (no friends award). It’s indeed not that big a deal but I do want to get rid of it as I’m getting a little annoyed by it.

I don’t think this is necessarily true. I know there are players with fast computers who also have problems with this. It’s probably more of a server side problem that happens when the server can’t load all of the players before the match starts etc.
