How to Fix the Inadequate O/S permissions error!!

Okay, this if for when you are already on Admin and you still get this error:

How to fix it.
Download this file, it will check for adware that stops you from being able to play on PB servers and fixes the problem even if you don’t.

http://tools.zerosrealm.com/VX2Finder.exe

Click the “Find VX2.betterinternet info” button to make sure that you don’t HAVE this adware. If there are no files listed, go on to the last step.

If you find the virus, (it is usually 3 random named dll files)

Select all the files found.
Press ‘Delete These Files’.

The program will delete all files but one that will be deleted on reboot.
Allow program to reboot.

Once Restarted:
Press ‘Guardian.reg’.
Press ‘User Agent’.
Press ‘Restore Policy’.

Clicking on “find vx2.BetterInternet info” again should show all fields blank.

If you have no adware files, just click on the “Restore Policy” Button

Argh another days playing ruined by PB. I’ve been kicked over 50 times for Init Failures or Unpure Client Invalid PK3’s.

I would just wait for the temp ban to clear then reconnect, but it loses all my XP too, and on a 6-map campaign that’s annoying =/

Screw you PB.

Yeah PB is pretty gay. I had this error for over 3 weeks and I finally found a way to fix it. I just want to share how to fix it so noone goes though what I did. I was ready to throw my computer out of the window…

Noone really cheated before PB because as soon as you would you’d get kicked+banned…There is no need for PB other then to cause headaches…

The Unpure Client/Invalid PK3 Files Referenced message is not a PB error. Something else must be the problem (like too many PK3 files on the server, buggy PK3 files used, mixing up different versions of ETPro, etc). Ask Rain for more details (it’s way past bedtime for me ;).

PB Init failures are mostly caused by the PB server not being updated properly (usually combined with recent reinstalls of the ET client). Which server are you playing on?

ET sometimes does Funky Things after a download and won’t send the correct checksums until you quit and restart (so you’ll keep getting kicked for having invalid pk3s.)
