How to exp and gain new weapons

(orestis000) #1

Hi,
i am playing the game but i am a bit comfused… how do the players gain so match exp? i cant do these… and when i will rank up i will unlock any weapons or just the weapons that need every time to regain exp to obtein them?

ETQW’s unlocks are reset each campaign. It keeps the game fair.
To gain more XP, do more useful things. It takes practice, but you’ll get to be a better player. Don’t farm XP, you’ll have more fun and get more skills out of playing properly.

yes but i try do secure the genitor, destroy the objective etc… but i gain 15-20xp every match… and other players gain 120…

Trust me, better players get 200-350 per match.

You just have to keep killing enemies and do stuff. A hack objective itself should get about 60+ exp.

(orestis000) #5

the highest exp in objectives isnt 10exp?

If you want XP use your mission selector (check your controls).

(murka) #7

Doesn’t matter if you select the mission or not, you gain the same amount of exp.

U get more XP for hacking and building then for destroying (blowing up) something.

Do you change classes a lot? I find that if you stick with a class, you get more XP cause you don’t have to keep deploying different turrets, crates (which are xp generators). Also rewards or unlocks can help you generate more XP (eg 2nd medcrate, full health revives, flying repair drone) or stay alive longer

Get youself a Fireteam and invite people and you can change the FT missions. A FT is also useful for keeping track on team members.

You may have to change class if another is more useful on a particular map. XP is not the best indicator of how useful you have been to the team though.

This is very true. Although if you’re well below average compared to the rest of your team, it’s probably a hint that you need practice. XD

I was thinking that he was only completing sub-missions that give less XP, like hacking a deploy. The mission selector would point him towards where the better XP was at least.

If i’m not mistaken, the main objs aren’t affected by the selection, only the useless ones are. Also, i can’t remember(due to having turned off that useless hud element 2yrs ago) if it showed any difference like “10xp” and “+10xp”.

sticking to 1 class (almost) all map long will help you get more XP.

  1. you get used to the class and become an expert for this class
  2. the upgrades you get help you get more XP :
    for example

you are engineer and have a turret deployed. When you have unlocked an upgrade for flying repair drone you can repair your turret and shoot enemy players simultanouslly . So you get XP for repairing your turret and for doing damage with your lacerator and if your turret shoots an enemy vehicle/player or artillery you will get some XP too …

So always deploy your turret : radar APT AVT AIT or artillery no matter what class you are deploy your deployable and keep it working.Call for an engineer to repair it or place a new one when it has a lot of damage.

When you are medic always think of dropping a supply crate at a frequently passed point . Note : you will get an achievement for a second supply crate if you do your job as a medic well.

With some practise you will earn 100+ XP a map too without being a godlike aimer

if you go into limbo menu /class / rewards you see all upgrades as well…
and you get XP for … everything you do apart from doing teamkills ^^

Thats actually everything one needs 2 know

I have no hard evidence, but here is what I “know” works for me and, in the process, helps me accumulate plenty of XP in Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars. Drum roll I stay alive, I receive and inflict pain. That’s basically it. I play smart, stay alive and try to get in the “zone” to accumulate hits and frags. If I fail to get the “flow”, I change my sensitivity slightly (up or down) just to test something. Aim comes and goes… When you have it, kling-kling-kling, XP will rise dramatically.

Well I always end up team killing someone by either tk revive or my rubbish field opp skills and some idiot will always complain so I loose my xp :frowning:

(fry) #20

you won’t lose XP for teamkilling .You will only be hated by every1 you TK
