Women have cooties.

Exactly my point they were all pointless as is this one and this should also be locked
I wouldn’t want it. And if I was playing Brink and saw people playing as female characters I would shoot them first. Not because I hate women but because of all the whining that’s happened over the whole thing. Not trolling. Just saying I really don’t get it. My cousin is a super hot girlie woman and she plays games and it matters not to her what the gender of the character she plays as is.
I played through heavenly sword and will probably get the new tomb raider and I don’t complain when the main character is a woman instead of a dude.
Typical response from an indoctrinated patriarchal male who’s attempting to sound liberal about the issue.
The gaming industry should cater more for female gamers; there are many who feel alienated by the lack of female avatars in these games.
Just because you claim you have a single friend who “doesn’t mind”, doesn’t mean it’s not an issue that should be addressed.
I wonder if we would be having this same discussion if everyone in the game was, black or white or asian its stupid they designed the game like this for a reason if you cant play it how it is then dont play it
This one is different. Is it not a whine about the lack of female char, or about how female chars would ruin the game.
I presented the relevant question: Would people be willing to pay for it? There will obviously have to go a lot of work into making female chars - new voices, new faces, new clothing, new animations. They’ll need income to justify that sort of investment. The people who would have to be involved are the art director and 3d character artists, and they’re most likely not on the project any longer (unless they’re already working on similar DLC of course).
That around 25% of the players who voted seem willing to pay for it is an interesting new piece of knowledge, don’t you think?
Hmmm let me guess, for this game in it’s current state paying for something extra?
Ohlolololol,NO!
Also,do you guys really wanna see heavy body type womans on the battlefield?I mean,RLY!? ^^

MUCHO FAT CHICKS SPOTTED!

I could say something about the heavy dudes in Brink…or all the dudes in Brink
for that matter but I don’t want to be a jackass or closed minded.
I think your post is very rude though.

Oh come on,you think iam really serious about that?
I’am not a skinny person for myself so…
Women don’t fight because they don’t have the physical abilities of men. And that’s about it. They are slow, especially when weighed down by equipment. There are plenty of military roles women can fill and fill them just as well as men, but infantry isn’t one of them.
I’ve pointed out before, I live in San Antonio. There are 3 major airforce bases here and I see more military people on a daily basis than most (and personally know more military women then most), I’d think. I’d say that women that strive to be in the military are very physically capable to perform their duties in a fire fight. I’d say better then the majority of THIS sites guys would be lol (including myself of course). You question their physical strength….and you may be correct…it’s usually not up there with men. But I’d point out that women tend to have better reaction times AND hand-eye cooridation….which is much more important in battle then the ability to carry a lot.
And as far as this game goes…fighting women make even MORE sense. In a population of ONLY 20k, finding enough compedent fighting men to populate two fighting forces would be next to impossible, you would HAVE to allow women to join. not to mention…this isn’t ARMY. it’s resistance and security (police). resistances have historically have had women in thier ranks…as have COPS.
And an even bigger problem is it being non-representative. But none the less.
I would make a store with micro-purchases if I were SD/Bethesda, look at how well that has worked for TF2.

Well alrighty then :icarus:
I’am willing to pay money but first fix the game and then offer DLC which is worth buying.
I for myself got no problem with DLC in any way but it needs to be good and should have a “fair” price.
There are very good DLC’s out there, for example the Fallout DLC’s.You definetly get something for your money, not like Activision,15 euro for 5 maps…ROFL.
Good DLC will bring the developer good money, bad DLC…won’t.
I assume the CoD crowd finds 15 euro for 5 maps legit.

Would consoles allow in-game stores? I dont think so because they have their own stores selling DLCs and so DLCs are pretty much the only way to add content in the game for all platforms.
if there will be every a item shop then ill move on to another game.
I played Tf2 some years ago always at a friends house and had a blast with it.then, some years later i purchased the game also cause i was remembering how much fun it was but what i played then had nothing to do anymore with TF2.
Hats?Premium?Premium weapons that are totally overpowered?Crafting? Is this an MMO?
Quit the game imediately.Pathetic what Valve did to TF2 just to fill their pockets even more.
The problem is all the crap infantry have to carry, especially since it became the norm to wear armor. Lots of guys really struggle with it, it just doesn’t seem feasible for women to do that. Even without armor, you’re still carrying a lot, and in fights stuff like sprinting around and crawling fast (which is really, really hard), it pushes you to the limit. And after doing that, you have to be able to aim your weapon, maybe from an awkward, strenous position. Not to mention being able to carry a wounded buddy to safety. Women would imo be too slow and/or too knackered to fight effectively.
Granted, when I was in the army I never worked with a woman, but I’ve done martial arts training with women, and the difference in strength and speed is enormous. I have to move in almost slow motion if they’re to get anything from the sparring, even when they’re technically much better, and grappling I just don’t think either of us get anything from it. I’m sure you could find several woman who could match me, I’ve only sparred with “regular people”.
Just to be clear, I am all for women in the military where strength isn’t an issue (and outside of infantry and tank/artillery loaders, that’s most positions available to them), and the rare woman with the genes and/or dedication needed to match men would be welcome everywhere. I’m just very much against allowing women on anything less than the requirements for men, which seem to be on the agenda when “women in combat roles” come up in the public debate.
