Ok , so here´s a screen
I think , she´s beautifull
what do you think ?
I think she would be fine.
The idea that a woman cannot be a mix of masculine/feminine features without being attractive is absurd, let alone the idea that women need to be conventionally attractive.
Pauline Nordin is a Swedish woman of average height, slightly broad shoulders, and a full, natural chest, and backside. Not to mention, an idyllic, feminine face. If she were to wear a dress, or suit, you probably wouldn’t expect that she could break your back “like so” with her knee.

Nice try, but that’s not clever. I do talk to women(they partially own the server) who I play ET with, and the men there, too. It’s not an argument, it’s just a fact that being social in an FPS atmosphere is not an aberration.
Go away.
Personally I’m fed up of this subject.
The fact of the matter is, Brink doesn’t have women. Other games don’t have women.
Give the **** up.
Also, stop posting pictures of muscular women, its ****ing disgusting. If I wanted women to look like men then I’d be gay.
I don’t know how a female character wouild be in BRINKś hyperrealism aesthetics but I imagine female players would not be happy with it because of the cartoon exageration of proportions that a “female warrior” would recieve.
This is all I will say ever about female characters in BRINK
I was really disappointed they didn’t have female models. Lazy developers suck and make suck products like Brink.
The reason there are no women in games is because the people that make them are men. Along with the fact that it is more profitable to make games men can relate to.
There are exceptions of course, ME and R6V2 are excellent examples. However for a game that boasts so much customization, I assumed male and female options would be a given. It is nice that at least SD gave some reasoning behind their decision but if they would have started with both male and female characters it would not have been that hard.
@Lydia - yea that would work fine. They even put the time into designing female characters in the game world.
Thirdly, I don’t like DLC as I am one of those that feel it should have been put in the game, and if they are going to add it, it should be free. Expansion packs are a different matter.

Actually, she looks like a woman with the physique of an athlete.
Saying she looks like a man is like saying a motorcycle looks like a car because it has tires, and a metal frame, too.
I wish humans weren’t so prone to being trapped within paradigms. It really encourages rampant stupidity and unnecessary stereotyping.

Just for you.
Because you know exactly how much work goes into designing characters.
3D artists really enjoy making female characters. Check out GameArtisans, or Cg Society, and tell me that there’s a lack of artists posting work with strong female characters in them? If I could get away with it, I would be better, first, at building female characters because it’s more interesting.
But what happens when artists get payed to make characters? We get only males in shooters. Why? Because it’s a lot of work, and you have to pick one sex to do. Why not pick the most logical one?
On the other hand, it makes total sense that one would expect females. There’s no reason not to in a game that boasts customization.
I chose to buy Brink due to it’s weapon and character customization options (and cause I played tons of W:ET back in the day), so I’d easily buy a DLC with chick options.
As this whole subject is such a big point of intrest (and also a waste of time) heres a few other threads regarding the exact same thing lets have all of them running at the same time to talk about the same thing all the time yeah

Also while were barking up the not going to happen tree, if someone from Splash Damage can arange for a personal visit on Avril Lavigne to pop round to my house for the weekend that will be great thanks
Unlike you, I actually have a decent idea for someone who doesn’t develop games. I’ve read several articles about the matter and a rep of SD themselves said themself that they didn’t make females models because of the extra effort it would take to make another set of moveable hitboxes, clothing, and body textures. So kindly, take your ignorant self and stfu.
You should click on my signature some time. I’ll allow you this one exemption from making yourself look like a complete tool.
You may have a point there, but combat is combat. and the fact that this is a dying nation and they probably need to conserve their weman (sorry about that) is still a valid defense to the fiction.

I’d bed her, it would have to be missionary though so I could just see her head.
Why do people want females… Its not that important. Gears of war 1/2 didnt have females. Halo 3 didnt (technicly) have females. And Black ops doesnt even have any.
Exactly my thoughts. Must be something in the colour scheme of this forum, draws the attention of whiners.
Because the game promised character customization, which is a reason that’s been mentioned many many times.
I think I’m a lot taller than her(6’2), but she probably weighs a lot more. –
Holy crap, she’s only 5’2, and 110 pounds. Thought she’d be bigger.
In any case, I’d let her do whatever she wanted. Save for pegging. Not cool, dude. : P

Most of those threads are locked, people can’t voice their opinion if they are locked. Also, most of the threads are from before the game was released. Now we discuss the option of a DLC, not release content.

^ Also This.
Well , it´s actually some kind of police instead of a real army , and women are in the army and police , so it would make sense
And in modern armies , like the israeli army or various others there are women at the frontlines .
But nvm .
True.
but consider how the ark is, to most peoples knowledge they are the only surviving humans. Would you really want to risk losing women in a war? If only one man survives but 200 women survive then they could still continue the population, if only women survived and 200 men it would take her a while on her own to refill the population :stroggtapir:
Countries that put women in front line combat units are in the minority.
I would prefer women to be given a good reason to join the fight, not just have them shoe horned in.
Women don’t fight because they don’t have the physical abilities of men. And that’s about it. They are slow, especially when weighed down by equipment. There are plenty of military roles women can fill and fill them just as well as men, but infantry isn’t one of them.
But this isn’t reality, it is a game. And while most FPS games don’t have female models, they don’t have customizatIon either. MMOs, RPGs, Fallout, they all have female models. It is only natural
