How many people cancel Job on the Side?
The main issue is still that repairing or destroying side objectives as Defenders doesn’t EVER seem to count towards Secondary Objectives. Either this is a bug or by design, it is non the less very frustrating.
For example on Underground, as attackers blowing up the door controls with C4 counts, though I don’t think it would count it if you destroyed with explosive attacks or bullets.
On the other side as Defenders, repairing a destroyed door control doesn’t seem to count towards Secondary Objective either.
Some clarification on what COUNTS as Secondary Objectives would be greatly appreciated, it just seems to be inconsistent to say the least.
Yeah, I don’t cancel them but I very rarely even look at them. I just want to play the way I want to play rather than putting myself in bad positions or using mercs I ordinarily wouldn’t use for some extra cashmuny.
I have been trying to get my perfect loadout (bushwhacker with kek, deployable health, and lock on) so I have been XP farming. I do all the missions, as that seems to be the fastest way to get money.
Doing 4 side missions is hard, 5 is tough, 6 is difficult. I reckon they should keep it, but increase the reward from to 1000, 1500 and 2000 credits respectively.
After elevator fix, secondaries mission go in the same place as competitive missions - garbage bin. No second thought, no hesitation.
I have no real issue at playing those. I guess it’s because I oftenly play an engineer. Most of the time, if both teams are good enough, one game in Underground is enough to me for finishing the mission as the doors will be opened and then repaired oftenly, so I end up playing the secondary objective multiple times if I can’t access the main objective yet.
Are those secondary objectives a bit underrated ?

Really? Last time I tried to complete it the doors didn’t count towards finishing.
Regardless, isn’t it a little dumb that Underground is the only map where you can complete side objectives often?

That’s wierd, those two generators are supposed to be secondary objectives. Probably a bug.
There’s also the capture point and the generator in Terminal 1st objective. The capture point can actually be played by anyone, but few people thinks about it. Let’s not forget the second generator in Terminal 2nd objective. In Trainyard, you have a generator blocking one of the def team’s path at the first objective, and another one at the second objective that actually opens an important path for your team as attacker. Chapel have a two secondary objectives as attacker that are oftenly ignored by the defender team. Bridge only have a single secondary objective as Defender, but it’s almost always set up once the EV is repaired.
Undeground is clearly the best place for secondary objectives, but Terminal is not that bad either. I’d love to see more secondary objectives in Bridge, especially for the 1st objective where it’s clearly easier to defend than attack.

What about that first secondary on chapel, you can destroy it by airstrike/arty/orbital laser and I am sure someone from attacking team will reapair it soon… so it’s kinda good secondary objective farming spot
…
But I agree Underground is best for secondaries…
Edit: Oh, I don’t know if it counts if you do secondary objective multiple times?
I keep it until before the refresh. But most of the times i don’t complete it so i cancel it in the end.
Not always. Or at least blowing it up doesn’t count, maybe repairing it does.
No loadout with that combination exists.

They probably mean the one with Blishlok. Its the only loadout I know of that has both Sturdy and Lock-On.
I usually play proxy or bushwacker so it isn’t a problem for me most of the times
Lol all crybabies. It takes me like 4 games to complete 6 secondary objectives, or two competitive matches.
sadly they repaired this bug where using an elevator was counting as secondary
I just recently let that mission hang around, to see how long it takes to complete it, with casual play as a non-engi merc, not paying extra attention to it.
Pretty much every time I was about to start planting a bomb, an engineer would swoop in and cockblock me.
Same story with repairing things.
A week later (~3h of playing, per day) I somehow finished.
Conclusion: I’m not a smart man.
Conclusion #2: Worst mission, for non-enginerds, and tied with “play/win x competitive games” missions, for over all worst missions.
I’m getting better at doing it, it’s quite simple when you grasp what counts and what doesn’t as a side objective.
Edit: @srswizard
Just planting/disarming a C4 doesn’t count, if you want the side objective you need to either wreck the generator or repair it. Using Airstrikes or Orbital Strikes on it, also doesn’t count, lookin at that one generator on Trainyard.
So all in all you gotta stay around and guard the C4 till it goes boom.
