This mission is just way to tedious and not everything that should be considered a side objective counts (such as the doors in Underground). Ever since they fixed the elevator bug I don’t see any reason to even attempt to do these missions. Been cancelling them out along with Stopwatch and Competitive related missions (at least, though, those can be achieved).
How many people cancel Job on the Side?
Really depends, usually I leave it and see if I can do it in my play session then delete it for a new one if I don’t.
I’m with Ghosthree3 here, I’ll leave them and see if I end up getting them through natural gameplay, but make no attempt to go directly for them since they are a distraction from the main objective. If I fail to get it I’ll abandon the mission before the refresh… this is every time though which I why I voted for this option, but I still leave the possibility open to complete it.
I tend to leave it in the rotation until missions reset, and if it isn’t done I abandon it regardless. I don’t enjoy having to play Underground relentlessly to get it done, seeing as every other map has like 2 side objectives max, and mostly if you’re on attackers.
Can’t wait for Dome and Dockyard in that case, they seem to have a ton of them.
I just do em even though they are a pain, I usually only abandon the “win comp match” mission.
All depends what they are, play ‘X’ amount of comp games is one I always remove because it doesn’t interest me currently.
Now that elevators don’t count - 100% cancel.
Before that I cancelled it if I logged in just to check missions. But if I got one while playing then I queued for Underground.
All the competitives and side mission jobs, scram, I’ll be done sooner with three star objective xp missions with Vassili than with those!
The time it takes to complete those missions, is just out of proportions with all other missions. I would prefer to get rid of them entirely, but if they were kept, I would prefer instead of completing 4/5/6 secondary objectives, it should be 1/2/3.
And btw. don’t you guys just love, when you are playing attack on Chapel, that your engineer, instead of reparing the EV, runs off to complete the two secondary objectives?
- Go to Underground
- Use the lift as many times as the mission indicate
Haven’t been playing the game for a month though, did they fix that?

yes they did.
I only cancel it if I’m not playing right away, on weekends when I have plenty of time I try to knock it out before the missions reset.

Fixed, someone even said it in the thread. Utilise ctrl+f.
I don’t always…but I usually do…just hard sometimes to get it…especially if you’re with a Proxy who knows what they’re doing.
Too much things currently not being counted to make this missions viable. Forward Spawn capture is not even counted in trainyard…
I cancel it from Phoenix patch. They fixed elevator bug counting as secondary, they still
didn’t repair all of the secondary objectives to be working and haven’t set destroying
secondaries to count it. It has same sense like win competitve match which is NONE for that ratio(6 objectives only to repair them is a joke).
Forward Spawn Capture, in Trainyard?
Theres a forward spawn, in Trainyard, that you can capture?
