How Many Games Have You Lost That Have Been Solely Down to a Bottom Board Sniper

I’m genuinely curious. I wanna hear those aggravating stories where victory was snatched from you.

Why? Because I just had two back-to-back just now with the usual 2/17 player who never does anything but sit at the back, we made it all the way to the final objective. Half of it done. And if we had that little bit more push power we’d have done it but nope, gonna sit at the back, never use my ability, and ruin the game for the other 5 players calling for them to switch.

We need a salt emote for this forum.

I know how you feel. Try 3 vassilis and no medics on your team when you’re attacking on Trainyard. Worst part? None of the players, apart from me, even had a medic in their squad. And I sure can’t carry a team of Vassilis on a 6v6 as a single medic

Solution: Leave the server, ez pz.
Unless it’s ranked and then it just sucks, but we honestly can’t argue because this game is not popular enough so ranked doesn’t really work like it’s supposed to and it’s not rare to get matched with unrankeds even if you are cobalt

@Mercy True, true… It’s a really hard to play class, have to give someone who’s good credit and at least give pointers to one who wants to play them.

If you want to see something that made me rage a bit and wasn’t related to someone not understanding how Vasilli works I had a moment where we failed a game of underground stopwatch, We did a terrible as attackers but defended really great after losing the first objective quickly.
We defended the second REALLY well but of our 3 engineers, with just a little under 1 minute to defend we lost because the last living engineer, With half of the team near the objective, spends more time doing nothing but toss stickies as Fletcher for his youtube channel rather than even touch the objective.

One game in ranked, where me and my friend dropped over 130 kills together, ended in a draw because at a crucial point a sniper accidentally teamkilled me. It wasn’t his only teamkill. He was around 7/42 KD at the end or so. Part of why I rarely touch ranked anymore.

I had a team member today in a ranked game. Squad was Aura, Phantom, Vassili. I know there are great Vassilis out there and great Phantoms. But this combination. It just screamed noob. And I was right. He either camped with Vassili all the way back, tried to slice everybody with Phantom (and failed horribly) or didnt revive and placed the healing station somewhere nobody could really use it. In the end he had a 2/20 and just 1k score after the first half. Then one player dropped and we decided to let them plant and end that sad sad episode.

I’ve lost many more games due to people leaving somewhere after teams were assigned to first 60s of the match.

It’s not the fct that they cry about Vassili. More that the real lowest tier of players most usually pick him for some weird reason. I can’t comprehend why people keep playing him when they see they’re utter shit.
It’s like every quadrate is a square but not every square is a quadrate.

Eh that’d be letting the rest of the team down who also try. Only made this for a bit of fun, don’t take it too seriously like Mercy up there :wink:

Can barely even get cobalt nowadays, getting 15-30 minute queues at Gold 2. I just wanna play :smiley:

@Jostabeere Because muh main as snipers in other games. People just don´t realize that using a sniper is not the same like using the bodyshot onehit snipers like in CoD or CS and that they dont have all day to line up their shots like in BF. But muh main in other games, it´s clearly the others fault if you loose because they won´t plant - your average >lvl 8 Fusilli player

Camping and trying to quick scope is the biggest trap for beginner snipers.

How many games I’ve lost because of inexperienced snipers? Dunno, makes no difference to me. People being useless in other mercs (especially medics) are just as huge contributors to the loss.

The only way they will get better is with practice. Plain and simple. Now, I know I’m shit at sniping, buy I have fun trying my hand at it (especially when a certain player is on my team). Sometimes I do really well. If I do bad or see someone else switched to a sniper I switch mercs so that there’s only one sniper. But, a single player should not make or break a team.

I suck at sniping…I’m horrible…but I make sure my team is in good shape if I try…I’m sorry but in a team based game I don’t like people selfishly throwing away games because they can’t perform.

Especially those 3 Vasilli who want to all practice on offense…

If I used up time in the field looking for which Snipers on our side were missing their shots instead of fighting and doing objectives that would make ME the reason we lose matches! :smiley:

You could say that any game with a sniper rifle option suffers from this. Most people probably hop into Vasilli with a Call of Duty mindset and end up bodyshotting all the time, realizing that they actually have to aim for the head to get those 1-shot kills, then end up wasting time trying to learn a skill that people who play arcade shooters have already honed for years.

Or they could just be bad at video games. It’s the curse of F2P.

i keep laughing myself off when they died because of my arty.
