@buffMonorail I love the 200 XP for one shotting a rhino with the arty strike, they’re so slow and oblivious it’s wonderful
How Many Games Have You Lost That Have Been Solely Down to a Bottom Board Sniper
i dont know why people took vasilli as their first merc, you can one shot merc with arty without even needing a perfect line of sight!
Always there are blame Vassili threads but im yet to see the first “Vassili who carried us” thread. Vassili can be usefull if e.g. placed at Underground Defender second objective, i defended the shit there while my team was doing smth on the other side of the map. Got myself 47/3 at the end of the game and defended that spot for 8 minutes 90% of the time alone.
Bad Sniper are many as i joined an Exec game and just saw 5 Aimee (Level 4-7) in my team playing and was like WTF, none of them hitting a thing not even with PDP and Grandeur but well…cant be helped. Later i realiszed rotation just changed and that was the reason for this. So curse the rotation, its a huge contributer of the cause for this.
PS:Newbies will always be useless, i cant tell how many times a low level medic just ignored me lying on the floor, my low hp or Ammomercs to ignore me shouting Ammo 10 times into their faces while batting their heads to mud… .
@Yoma idk why, but when it’s started using a sniper in DB, I had the hardest time landing hits with the PDP but was significantly better woth the FELIX or MOA.
If you really spam its possible to hit with PDP as new player but at the same time you’ll miss atleast double that amount of shots. I dislike the PDP for the reason that i mostly hs people with the first shot but then they run in cover and i often cant finish them off, so i prefer a one shot dead sniper aswell.
Well, i guess own preference plays it part in regard of weaponchoice of each individual.
I too was pissed off about snipers but I grew up and realized that shit they are just practicing. If they are practicing in comp then there is a problem but you are playing pubs thing that shouldn’t be taken as serious so while I see your frustration think about them practicing and maybe leave the server. No need to flame on them in chat.
i joined a server, my teammates were getting rekt by the 3 snipers on the other team. they were the sole reason they won that match. (and because my teammates werent that good i think)
once had a chapel match were the enemy was salty as F*. “Vassili carryd you guys” with me being the vassili
Because i watched the angryjoe review i already know that dirty bomb was “Hipfire: The game” so it was easy for me to adapt. couple of matches after i bought vassili i knew that i had to get headshots. i think. dont even remember
Like said here at some point, practice is the only way of attempting to git gud. However as also said time for that prac is NOT when theres 4 sub-lvl 10 Aimees already as participants of a biggest-fail contest… Although it might be best to just got with the merc you enjoy, even if sniper, at that situation as it’s most prolly lost anyway.
What really grinds my gears are those 2/40 Trashsillis / Missees / Poopeyes / Nubtoms going “bad team” or blaming any external reason ranging from lagg to starts alignment after a match. Specifically after those games where rest of the team did try their best to carry their imbecile sorry arse.
New people however should imho catch the games phase and roll with some other class than sniper, and start praccing those when simple things like abilities, objectives, spawntimers and maps themselves are familiar to them.
Ya it happens but it really makes you appreciate a good sniper but you encounter one. But if it pubs then chill out bud.
I think way more matches are lost due to several teammates not doing their part and ignoring objectives rather than just a single sniper.
Me as Sparks(2/10 kdr, 30+ revives ,4 defuses) and another Vassili(30+ kills) nearly won a 6v6 match defending in Underground once(lost with 30 seconds left). The other 4 were fighting pointless battles defending side objectives which they lost, and failed to get back. Could have been a comfortable victory…but it wasn’t to be…:’(
Not really surprising to see them hanging around at the first objective while rest of the team is on the other side of the map trying to get the last obj done and if they actually move with the team… well, snipers are good at melee range, right? And what’s that? C4? Pft, that’s Engi’s job, sniper ain’t got time to defuse no C4.
I dont know and I dont really care. I am only playing pubs for fun and I do not yell at ppl becauase they are bad.
yes its common and why i voted for make one sniper per team.many games you just sit and watch as some low as sniper who cant even snipe sits in the previous part sniping.
whats worse is there score is so bad you would think it would sink in it isnt working. if you cant snipe dont snipe !
also because your sniping doesn’t mean you have to sit in the same place the whole game.if you decent do your job. move cover objectives and people as they fix items or move up. some snipers dont even know they have sensors to help the team.
All hail min level 10/20 servers.
just play and let play, its just pubs. if you really want to make sure everybody wants to win, go play ranked.
If I had a buck for every game where I lost because one (or two or three or half the damn team) decided to snipe when they weren’t good at it…well, I would have blown more money on this game than @Sniff .
Like, never, often it’s when there’s more than one, and not enough Medics or Engineers.
@steelMailbox exactly. On at least 3 separate occasions vote kicks have been called against me while playing Vassili (two of which by the same US East player whose name I won’t mention). IIRC two of them passed. It wasn’t like I was a complete noob. I didn’t pick up Vassili until I was like level 18. I was getting kills and throwing out my heart beat sensor in placed where it’d likely pick up on enemies but probably wouldn’t be found. I was trying to help my team.
@bontsa V,7,9,3 “the only reason I ever miss is lag”
But seriously, some times it pays to be nice to noobs and help them along. Had a game where we has a very low level trying to play as Aura. He was trying, but didn’t understand all the nuances of playing her. Seeing that, I recommended he switch to Skyhammer so he’d have more health and better long range fire power. He agreed and IIRC started doing better.
Sometimes new players just don’t realize how important team composition is in this game, and a kind reminder/piece of advice will set them straight. “Hey you’re not doing too good as Vassili. He’s pretty hard to use if you’re new to the game. Try switching to Arty. We could really use his artillery strikes.”
Not many if I factor in that snipers usually have low XP rewards if they’re not killing left right and center, so it’s much easier for them to have lower scores while being helpful.
That being said, the % of bad snipers is still not as worrisome as the number of supports not giving ammo or medics forgoing their supposed role and letting you die.
If there’s some belief I’ve cemented while playing pubs on this game is that more often than not, you’re surrounded by a team, but in fact, you’re actually alone.
