every SD game so far has Limbo but honestly i cant imagine how they could implement good old RTCW/ET even ETQW Limbo …has to be some new concept idk…

In previous games, the menu was for switching weapons/classes/teams/spawns, voting on team shuffles/map changes/kicks and for server admin stuff like kicks/bans/warning/map changes/shuffles. Hope that helps.

Some remnants of old db versions no ? In my mind, there was a limbo menu in 2013 builds, wasn’t it ? I just played a couple of days on that version I can’t remember well…

well it adds a lot of depth and makes spawnkilling IMPOSSIBLE.
enough reasons to do it in my opinion.

I had to break your hearts guys but that keybind option is in there for a long time.
I’ve noticed it when I first went over the keybinds in the first stresstest weekend.

So it’s propably one of the things that they where experimenting/planning but never did anything with.

I don’t understand why they are not doing it.
It adds depth for veterans/competitive and no noob will ever complain about getting spawncamped in a pub again.
There is literally NO reason not to do it.
Did they ever say why?

@Humbug Well, as an old ET player I feel it would be fine, but the current maps definitely doesn’t support multiple spawns as they are so damn small.

I confirm that this control option has always been there.

I guess that limbo is missing because dirty bomb is lacking of tactical choices compared to most of their old games. Maps are too small with absolutely no sides routes making spawn in an older position worth. But just don’t feel me, that’s not a critic. I’m just saying that maps we have now are definitely not oasis, they went for another strategy regarding map design. Same goes for the merc/loadouts choice that definitely needs to be limited in DB. After those points, I just feel that a limbo menu would have poor to non use in this game right now.

And the maps are linear, so no benefit will be gained to spawn into an older spawn.
